So not to chance the subject Diva/OVM but I was watching our great news tonight, the one that is so slanted towards the auto companies and I choked on my coffee of what I heard in the three minute segment.
- the reporter was interviewing a dealership owner who has sold his monthly inventory in four days. He claims that this has produced so many jobs that the congress should put 10 billion into the program. He also mentioned that the WH said to keep selling them, they will cover the money.
- our great Candice Miller (r)Mi made the same comment as did our great Sandra Levin (d)Mi, so many jobs have been created by this program that it would be "foolish" not to continue it.
- cut back to the reporter who is interviewing a new car buyer, she is turning in her old car for a new Ford Explorer which apparently the dealer has a special code to put into the website to get that money because it appears that the car is not supposed to get any money because it gets less miles than what she had.
- my wife checked again today with a dealer out in Ann Arbor if our van qualifies, it did the other day but now it doesn't. Apparently "Flex Fuel" vehicles were approved and now not approved because the EPA changed the rules.
- do you know that they could have written this law in five pages but decided that they needed 300 pages, and no one read the law when it was passed?
- When are the 2006 models clunkers and why are they not targeting cars that are older than 25 years old?
