Wasn't even filmed in Detroit.

The "junker" is a disguised Malibu (2000ish); I find it strange that Chevrolet would disrespect one of its own vehicles just to sell its replacement. You'd think they woulda used a Ford Taurus or Dodge Intrepid as a "blandmobile"
