On the road with wireless internet service

I have T-Mobile internet. I have a PCS card that doubles as a wi-fi card where available. I usually get pretty satisfactory connections. $29.95 a month. In addition, I subscribe to FJ wi-fi on a recurring monthly basis.

The Carolinas cause me my biggest problem for connections on T-Mobile. Some other company seems to have all the bandwidth down there and it drives me crazy. Also, I get excellent coverage in Canada, but it is Rogers Wireless and becomes roaming T-Mobile. I use it rarely up there due to the extra cost.

We too use the Sprint card and phones. I think, but could be wrong...if you were to purchase one now; you pay nothing for the card if you agree to a 2 year contract. Sprint runs lots of specials before the holidays.

We have the Verizon aircard, and it's driving me crazy! The signal drops when were on major interstates in the east, and out west it's spotty enough that it just isn't worth the irritation sometimes.
When we got the card we asked about roaming, they said it wouldn't connect if we were in a roaming area. NOT, it connected while we were in Canada no problem, at the roaming per minute rate. I just about had a heart attack when the bill came in. I'm serioulsy thinking of going back to Sprint, even if it means paying the early termination fee.
