..... to be tried before the International Criminal Court .... and convicted of crimes against humanity ...
why would you look for a self served apartheid regime to solve our problem ?
if they, (or any American for that matter, better yet an elected officials), did anything wrong, surly we can find an AMERICAN court to trail them.
Ooop's, sorry,... i forgot, ...our very own constitution is not good enough to protect us from our very own Gov., ...so the UN can step in & help us all.
one world under god.

O'h, here's an interesting spin : can we even take him to court ?, i mean, he can say it was 'the old heart' that made him do the crime...
O.K, Lame excused, but what if he had a gulf ball sized tumor removed from the back brain, can he blame it on that part of the head ?,
how many buddy parts replacements it takes to get a person off the hook ?
will it work on other cases ?, a convicted felon, get some brain removed, and walk free?
maybe in a decade or so ?:D

I said International Criminal Court ..... not Israeli Criminal Court .....

But hey - I'm cool with any venue - as long as justice is delivered.

Newsflash for ya chief: our government - under a number of different administrations - regularly ignores the Constitution ....

Moose,

I can understand the desire to keep it here at home and "keep it in the family" so speak.

So here's an idea - let's get the good Dr. in the house, and mebbe we can do a twofer: investigate, try and convict all the skels and crims from both the Bush and Obama administrations ....

Wadda ya say ?

Cheney's heart was worn out by a lifetime of compassion and concern for the American people.

I typed that sentence with a straight face and solemnity befitting Dick Cheney's service to our country. You gotta like a man who when asked to head up the vice-presidential search committee, nominates himself.

what gets me is, waiting list or not, how did he manage to get a heart transplant at 71. most of us regular folks would have been told we are not a candidate for a heart transplant at our age and with our health considerations. im sure there was a young, possible next president of the USA waiting also.

speaking of dick' " cheney and hearts, you know why old truckers never die ?

they just get a new peterbilt.:D

The overriding factor is lots of money and good insurance. There is an "unofficial" ethical limit of 70 for heart transplants, but plenty of money and/or good insurance will move that age up a bit.

Is Cheney too old for transplant?

As you read that story and other headlines like it, you may (or may not) get a kick out of having in the back of your mind Betteridge's Law of Headlines, which is an adage that states, "Any headline which ends in a question mark can be answered by the word 'no'".

In the large-picture sense, the reason why journalists use that style of headline is that they know the story is probably BS, and don’t actually have the sources and facts to back it up, but still want to run it. It started mostly in tech reporting, but has recently moved into mainstream reporting. It's one of the things to keep in mind regarding how to read a newspaper, or increasingly, Web news sites. A headline with a question mark at the end means, in the vast majority of cases, that the story is tendentious or over-sold. It is often a scare story, or an attempt to elevate some run-of-the-mill piece of reporting into a national controversy and, preferably, a national panic. Sometimes they just need the content to fill space. To a busy journalist or reader hunting for real information a question mark means 'don't bother reading this story'.

George Washington... First in the hearts of his countrymen.
Dick Cheney... First to take the heart of a countryman.

I'm sure it was sarcasm. Had to be.

When we see Dick Cheney doing one-handed push ups on the Jay Leno show, as Jack Palance used to do, then we will know he's planning a comeback. Until that time, Dick will probably stay with hunting, fishing and counting his beautiful stack of oil money.
