Old Dick, new heart

Our beloved former vice-president Dick Cheney received a heart transplant yesterday at the age of 71. Cheney is reported to have spent 20 months on the waiting list for an acceptable donor to be found. The change of heart has thrilled conservatives from coast to coast. Dick Cheney 2016.

What .... did he visit the Great Oz along with the Tin Man ?

Cheney is reported to have spent 20 months on the waiting list for an acceptable donor to be found.
I heard it was around 10 years or so ....

The change of heart has thrilled conservatives from coast to coast.

Why should I care either way? Other than the 'human thing', you know, not wanting to see a fellow human die or be in pain. Clinton will be next.

They're a Dream Ticket alright ..... to be tried before the International Criminal Court .... and convicted of crimes against humanity ...

Old enough to have known a young Ron Paul.
A studly dude whose original heart will likely last him his entire lifetime - unlike Dick "Gimme-another-Cheezeboiger" Cheney:

Cheney's heart was worn out by a lifetime of compassion and concern for the American people. Will Ron Paul accept Cheney's invitation to go hunting together soon?

Yeah, uh-huh ....

We'll see how that Halliburton shareholders lawsuit goes .... now that SCOTUS remanded it back down to let the plantiffs have another bite at the apple:

"We do not accept Halliburton's wishful interpretation of the Court of Appeals' opinion. ....... The judgment of the Court of Appeals is vacated, and the case is remanded for further proceedings consistent with this opinion."

NYT: Cheney Has Mixed Record In Business Executive Role

Will Ron Paul accept Cheney's invitation to go hunting together soon?
I think the only hunting that Dick should be thinking about doing is for a place to escape to .....

My personal recommendation would be a third-world banana republic where he isn't currently wanted for something ....

Dr. Paul has no need to avail himself of such things:

"Colorado ROCKING!

Boulder County rocked today. In our house district aprox 75% of delegates going to state and congressional district are RON PAUL. People from some other house districts in the county were reporting similarly. I've also heard that other counties have done well, ie, Denver County, etc."

And

Supporters of Republican presidential candidates Ron Paul and Mitt Romney combined forces to pitch a shutout at Rick Santorum in Saturday’s Jackson County GOP caucus.

"After four hours of sometimes grinding debate, roughly 1,000 caucus goers awarded Paul a majority of the county’s delegates to Republican congressional district conventions in April and the state convention in June. Romney got the rest."

Cheney and Rumsfeld are tough no-nonsense guys. You feel safer with Joe Biden and Leon Panetta?

Gee, I wonder.

[h=1]Weapons of Mass Destruction: Who Said What When[/h]by CounterPunch Wire

Simply stated, there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction.
Dick Cheney August 26, 2002

Right now, Iraq is expanding and improving facilities that were used for the production of biological weapons.
George W. Bush September 12, 2002

Our intelligence officials estimate that Saddam Hussein had the materials to produce as much as 500 tons of sarin, mustard and VX nerve agent.
George W. Bush January 28, 2003

We have sources that tell us that Saddam Hussein recently authorized Iraqi field commanders to use chemical weapons — the very weapons the dictator tells us he does not have.
George Bush February 8, 2003

Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised.
George Bush March 18, 2003

We know where they are. They are in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad.
Donald Rumsfeld March 30, 2003

We are learning more as we interrogate or have discussions with Iraqi scientists and people within the Iraqi structure, that perhaps he destroyed some, perhaps he dispersed some. And so we will find them.
George Bush April 24, 2003

There are people who in large measure have information that we need . . . so that we can track down the weapons of mass destruction in that country. Donald Rumsfeld April 25, 2003

We’ll find them. It’ll be a matter of time to do so.
George Bush May 3, 2003

I never believed that we’d just tumble over weapons of mass destruction in that country.
Donald Rumsfeld May 4, 2003

I’m not surprised if we begin to uncover the weapons program of Saddam Hussein — because he had a weapons program.
George W. Bush May 6, 2003

They may have had time to destroy them, and I don’t know the answer.
Donald Rumsfeld May 27, 2003

At some point or another the thought may pass through one's mind (however fleetingly) that perhaps being in perpetual war with the remainder of humanity might not necessarily be a particularly good idea .... particularly given our present (and likely future) economic situation ....

However I am somewhat sure that for some, this idea will be replaced in fairly short order with the constant, abject terror of one's fellows that normally resides there .... sorta like a rat gnawing on one's brain ....

When that occurs, keep in mind what the Chinese have been up to (economically) for the last 10 years (hint: it ain't going to war with everyone and their brother)

You feel safer with Joe Biden and Leon Panetta?
Hmmm ... that's actually probably a very good question for folks to ask ....

Glad ya brought it up.

BTW, have you seen the YouTube video I posted awhile back ?

I think it was entitled "How to create an Angry American"

If you haven't, you might wanna take a look ....

If you have, watch it again.
