I'am not much of a "talker" on this forum, however I do know that this forum has missed your frequent inputs on the various issues. WELCOME BACK!

I'm not being critical. Just interested in kicking the subject around. Since a three-axle straight-truck owner-operator has surfaced, it might be an informative conversation to have.

Phil, I noticed the straight truck you use as your avatar is also of a 3-axle configuration. Have you been conversing with your self? If so please stop before you go blind.

Old habits die hard. You are right. Our truck has three axles. I am accustomed to saying two axles from before. Adding that third axle in the front made a dramatic difference in our fuel economy. The truck rides quieter too. :D

Not to worry it was a small myth-stake,we can all myth-count from time to time.

"Nomenclature Nazi," it has a certain ring to it. Might you be connected with the Spelling SS and Grammar Gestapo?

And, aren't we talking about a 4 axle truck here? Well, 1 of the axles is a pusher. If an axle isn't on the ground, is it really an axle? I'M SO CONFUSED!!!

Excellent question oh Grizzled One. Here is another to ponder:

If an ice skater performs an Axel jump, is it an Axel while the skater is airborne and not in contact with the ice?

You're not helping. You're just clouding the issue.

No one ever seems to look up in the expedite business, even salesman do not do there homework before putting trucks on there lot. I see alot of trucks these days with realy nice sleepers on them, wich is great, the thing is the longer the sleeper the shorter the box.If you shorten your box to lengthen your sleeper, why do you not raise the roof on the box about 3'', 4" maybe 5in. maintaining a height of 13'6" and put dry van doors on it. You could stack 3 skids and a 20' box can carry 4 more skids than a 22' box and still maintain your length requirements. I would realy appreciate some feed back on this, its been on my mind for a while.
