My wife and I get a kick out of it too when we pick up freight from other carriers. The first time it happened, we were amazed that a carrier with that carrier's resources had to call on us to bail them out of a bind. But after doing it many times since, we've come to believe that at one time or another, everyone hauls everyone else's freight. Customer commitments are made and to all carriers' credit, they'll call a competitor to get the job done if they must.
