Chef,

What size truck are you referring to?? CV/Sprinters only...or all sizes?

NLM loads really don't pay a whole heck of a lot.
Sometimes (often) no, they don't ....... and sometimes yes - they do pay reasonably well  ......

All depends on how bad they need the load moved, how many trucks are available in the area (and out of that, who is willing), and who (if anyone ) in Dispatch/Load Planning is paying attention to bid boards when things come up ......

It might be a wise thing to avoid engaging in too much "group think" and/or "group agreement" about "the way things are" .... as such things can become sort of a self-fulfilling (and self-defeating) prophecy ....

If you open the attached image (in a separate window, to avoid the "we're-gonna-make-it-the-size-we-think-it-outta-be-EO-goofiness") you'll see an NLM load that paid over $3.57 per loaded mile, and over $2.00 all miles.

It was a cargo van load - single pallet, about 1000 lbs IIRC.

Picking up just south of you...NLM load...going for 838 miles...

Oh wait...solos can't go that far with E-1...guess that is why they didn't get it....

It is a CV load that pays just over a buck for loaded miles too...

Oh wait...whats that you say? It is an NLM and they can only afford to pay what? .81 cents? *LOL*

Just can't let it go can ya? Now that is funny! But I will forego the goofy simley faces

I've been running my butt off this week. Monday I went to the grocery store, yesterday to the Post Office and to Fed Ex Office to get another set of vehicle signs for a new driver, and this evening I may go to church.

Yea CV's/Sprinter's....BUT I also can tell you the Straights at bolts aren't getting all that much more on ALOT NLM loads either...there is a nice lady that drives a Straight Truck that post on here that went there and left that will back that up.....

But then RLents post is on point...
