the pay was not that bad either.with only 92 miles of deadhead.the huntsville to dallas 600.30.dallas to brownsville 409.50.the charleston 1276.60.i got avg 16 miles a gallon.it was 420.00 in gas .but thats not that bad if i would have kept the speed down i think i could have done better on fuel. with no qc charge at new company.and only worker ins and escrow of 50 a week .i still laid down a 1800 dollar week.if i keep this up i want be sorry fo coming back out!!!

Sitting in Grand Rapids, MI. Finished September with a trip to the shop every week of the month with each visit costing three to four days a piece. I still managed to run a 1000 loaded miles each week inspite of spending half the month in the shop. Almost ended the month with a Michigan to Laredo run, but it cancelled.

Went back into service this week and got a nice run form Mansfield, Ohio, to Charleston, S.C.While waiting for a load I was checking my fluids and discovered the antifreeze level low, which explaned the puddle under the van...Ford dealer wanted $975.00 estimate to put a new one on.I brought it home and have the old one off,a new one on the shelf ready to put on it,and a new fan clutch, fan, hoses, antifreeze. This wont happen again,I am doing my best to prevent any coolant related breakdowns.I pulled the radiator out in the spring of this year,to clean it,and was blown away to find out how dirty and fuzzed up it was this evening when I pulled it out to remove the water pump.A screen will go on the front as well. This probably explains the reason for the A/C not working well at an idle..no air flow through the rad to the condenser to cool it down.Just the name of the game, that's all this is..lol.

Guido, that water pump ain't a cheap piece! My van went through several of them and nobody could give me a reason why. Way more than normal, though. I went after market and got one with a lifetime guarantee. I thought maybe excessive idling might be the problem, but my wrench said he didn't think so.
