Occupy Wall Street?

Who are these occupiers? What do they want? Who is orchestrating these events? Seems the occupiers are darlings of left-wing media and Democrats. Why would Obama give them encouragement?

The protesters don't even want the same thing and they have no leader, it is a group of people that make decisions. I found it funny that Obama didn't bother to acknowledge the reporter's question when they asked him what he thought about the fact that the protesters say Obama is part of the problem.

It's union leaders, unemployed, professional protesters, students, government teat suckers, mothers, fathers, college professors, the hate the rich crowd, greenpeace, animal rights activists, etc. I saw a woman with a sign that read: "HEALTHCARE IS A RIGHT". I even saw some geek wearing a "Free Nafeesa Syeed" T-shirt.

In St. Paul protesters are "occupying" the plaza at the state capitol. Jesse Ventura showed up to blast the rich and insist they pay their fair share in taxes. A young woman who was interviewed by a local t.v. station lamented that she had to quit school because her financial aid was cut back.

'Occupy Wall Street' Blasts Banking Industry -- But Apologizes To Its Own Banker | Fox News

As paullud said Obama and many on the left dont get that most of the protesters see them also as part of the problem.Just not sure many of the protesters even relize this.To really see what they are really about we will have to wait and see.We will have to wait and see how big of an impact the unions have on the protesters also.

http://news.yahoo.com/wall-street-protesters-fed-both-parties-223338469.html

Take Arianna Huffington From the huff post. She is trying to take sides with the protesters.Yet she is the very kind of person that they are protesting. Most of the reporting(If you want to call it that) is done for free. She built a big media company on the backs of others that belived in her so called cause. Then she sells out to AOL for 315 million dollars. Most of the unpaid contributors called for a strike along with many of the paid ones also.Huffington said let them strick No One Will Notice' And, she said, there are plenty of people willing to take their place if they do.Again she is the very kind of person they say they are protesting. So we will have to wait and see if they let her take up with them to push there agenda like the unions are trying to do.Michael moore is another one. Here is a guy that has made hundreds of millions of dollars of the hurt of others and he also is trying to take up their cause. There really are to many factors right know to tell.

They the protesters might have a few problems headed their way though. One being their camp base Zuccotti Park the onwers are getting tired of it.They say they have no problems with free speech yet the protesters are getting in the way of keeping the park clean. They have not been able to clean the park since sept 16protesters have tents set up which are not allowed per posted park rules.Another one is it has cost tax payers in NY over Two million dollars in overtime pay for the police since it all started. Also perhaps the biggest is cold weather is coming. And though some have said they are going to stay put through winter I really dont think alot of them have a clue of how cold it gets in the winter time in NY.

Now this link shows just part of what is really going on at some of the protest across the country.I know some will not like it because it is from fox. That however does not take away from the fact that they have organizer
Jim McGrath, chairman of the D.C. Tenants Advocacy Coalition, on record saying he paid people to be there and protest even though he calls them volunteers.

not even close as soon as it starts really getting tough for these people they will scatter.
If they do, that doesn't mean the American Revolution II is over and done with at that time. It's a process that won't begin and end with a single battle or protest. It could take many years.

Yup.

A long time (40 years) passed from the initial protests against acts by the Crown to the night of April 18, 1775 when Paul Revere rode, sounding the alarm, and the colonists subsequently rose up en mass and began to take back their liberty by means of outright armed rebellion.

I a listenting to the radio yesterday and heard an interview with these people from the "organized" group rally in Sacramento CA...the reporter asked several people why they were there, none of them could rally say, "for the people" was 1..."to fight corp greed"...was one..then the reporter talked to the guy that said he was the head of the "organizing group"..he said the reasons they were rallying "at that moment" were still "pretty vague"!?!? What!?!? LOL, he said they had a "committee that was "working on a action plan and a list of reasons"....Sooo..yea, lets hold a rally and make about of noise, but not have a reason....idiots...

Then I heard the list of demands that these flakes want...now the people in NYC that put this together are saying these are NOT their demands, but this is what some of those being interviewed ar saying...LOL, then the NYC organizer sayes that they have NO OFFICIAL LIST OF DEMANDS....LOL, so this list is suppose top be bogus, but the "people are aying them in interviews"...then the Organizing group says there are NO OFFICIAL DEMANDS...LOL...

Oh had anyone heard Nasty nancy pelois praise these people!?!? And barry is backing them with his support and is the DNC....as well as the unions dumping money into this....

Anyhow, here are the ignorant list of Demands:

The UN-OFFICIAL, reported and given during interviews DEMANDS:

Demand one: Restoration of the living wage. This demand can only be met by ending "Freetrade" by re-imposing trade tariffs on all imported goods entering the American market to level the playing field for domestic family farming and domestic manufacturing as most nations that are dumping cheap products onto the American market have radical wage and environmental regulation advantages. Another policy that must be instituted is raise the minimum wage to twenty dollars an hr.

Demand two: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system. To do this all private insurers must be banned from the healthcare market as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses and hospitals preventing them from doing their jobs and hand that money to wall st. investors.

Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment.

Demand four: Free college education.

Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand.

Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.

Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America's nuclear power plants.

Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.

Demand nine: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live.

Demand ten: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system.

Demand eleven: Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all. Debt forgiveness of sovereign debt, commercial loans, home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card debt, student loans and personal loans now! All debt must be stricken from the "Books." World Bank Loans to all Nations, Bank to Bank Debt and all Bonds and Margin Call Debt in the stock market including all Derivatives or Credit Default Swaps, all 65 trillion dollars of them must also be stricken from the "Books." And I don't mean debt that is in default, I mean all debt on the entire planet period.

Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies.

Demand thirteen: Allow all workers to sign a ballot at any time during a union organizing campaign or at any time that represents their yeah or nay to having a union represent them in collective bargaining or to form a union.

These demands will create so many jobs it will be completely impossible to fill them without an open borders policy.

And pelois, barry and the DNC back this.....

I have a hard time understanding left-wing dogma. Whereas the Tea Party movement wants lower taxes and less government in our lives, it appears The Occupiers want just the opposite: higher taxation and more government action. Have I got that right? If so, their cause doesn't seem very appealing.

Why would they take this scatter-brained collection of leftist demands and try to place a noble designation upon it?? No serious observer would dare call this "American Revolution II" ... such mislabeling is preposterous on its face. Insofar as I can discern, the main thrust of this phenomena is socialism. Redistribution of wealth in such a way as pleases the Left. Spoiled children who want Big Daddy Government to make right all their personal shortcomings. This is a sad but predictable outcome owed to 40 years of Liberalism.

I fear these grown-up children are estranged from reality. There is no free lunch.

Well I see two parts of this thing going on, one is the people who are fed up with the financial institutes getting away with getting billions and making billions more and the inequity of the policies of the government to help those who are too big to fail but crap on those who actually work.

What I mean is I don't like the idea that almost all of Wall Street has been a target at the same time helped by the Obama administration and those in congress (both republicans and democrats) and then allowed to make billions by using tax payer money to shore up their bad decisions at the same time no one in congress has been jailed or removed.

The same goes for Obama's idea of the millionaire surtax, it reaches the lower part of the population who make a few million to say 24 million but it does not impact those at the top who should be getting hit, like Buffet or Gates.

With the infiltration of the unions and some far left groups into their cause, they are now looking like a bunch of idiots who protest the G192833 summits.

But the funny thing is the hollywood crowd who is supporting them, they are the ones who make their money on the backs of the poor most of all and should be taxed a lot more.

The Tea Party wants "less government in our lives"?

Really??

Why is it when those who claim to be tea party members are polled, they want to see a reversal of Row v Wade and the social security system not touched?

Isn't that opposite of having less government in our lives?

Yup. I think the protests are largely just an indication ..... that some folks have made the observation that all is not well in Amerika ....

They may not even know or understand all of what's wrong .... and they may have absolutely no real clue about what to do to effectively handle the situation .....

But I wouldn't be too hard on 'em ...... at least they've made the observation that there is a problem ..... that's far better than Tweedle-Dumb and Tweedle-Dumber, who think everything is just hunky-dory and continue to stroll down the primrose path, as they whistle past the graveyard ...

All of these protesters want exactly the same thing - liberty.
