So who do you want to be president? Barack Obama or John McCaine. I would assume that "anyone" would be better than 4 more years of G. Bush. I can't afford another 4 years of Bush:eek:

I'd rather have Bush or Clinton again than I would Obama. At least you know what you are getting. We kinda know what we will get with Obama. Our country turned into a place like Russia or Cuba. Hey, Shouldn't this be in the Soap Box?

I will make a prediction right now. Might have to eat crow later, but I doubt it. I predict Obama will win only 12 or 15 states max. Of course, he will carry some large, liberal-leaning states: California, New York, Illinois, maybe Michigan or Wisconsin or Minnesota plus a few small New England states like Vermont. This does not bring him across the threshold to electoral victory. Unless McCain really screws up, I just don't see how Obama wins. Republicans, outnumbered 2 to 1, regularly beat the pants off Democrats for the presidency.

Wow!!!! Looking at the pole numbers so far in here a McCain/Mickey Mouse ticket would ruin Osama Obama. Then if they did not work out we could say it was a real "Mickey Mouse" administration!!! Sooooooooooo Sorry, I could not resist that one. Layoutshoot

I've been seeing some pretty even poll numbers, but even if the voting goes along those lines, a close popular vote could be a decisive electoral victory for McCain. Obama will dominate in the heavily populated urban areas, especially in the northeast, but will the margins in those areas be high enough to offset the edge McCain might have in the more rural areas and in most of the south? It could be interesting.

The only thing that I ask of everyone is "Please make an informed decision before going to the polls." Visit each candidates website, listen to what the candidates are saying and not what everyone else is. I've noticed that a lot of people are basing their vote b/c of something that they "think" they've heard or otherwise. I'm voting for Obama b/c I think he's the smartest for the job. Honestly, I would have rather seen Hillary get in because at least when Bill was in office, we had a budget surplus and not a trillion dollar deficit based upon a war that never should have happened. We also wern't fighting with Russia either. 8 years of unprogress it seems to me.

Good luck with running a business under a Marxist, Osama Obama is VERY anti business. So is Hillary and the Dems in general. This problem in the Mid-East started under Carter and not one president has done anything to take care of the problem, Iran. We have been fighting with Russia on and off since 1948 so I don't know where you get that one from. They are just reverting to thier Soviet, lets enslave all of Eastern Europe days again. Don't forget the 25 million Russians massacured under Stalin. I just cannot understand how post WW2 history seems to have not been taught. Layoutshooter

Hey fallinggater, look up the duties and the responsitblities of the President of the United States as listed in the Constitution of the United States. After you do that please tell me what in this mans backround qualifies him for the job. What in Hillary's backround qualified her? McCain is only barely qualifed. Obama has never even held a real job as an adult. 143 days in the Senate is not a qualification. Layoutshooter

Yea, don't get the idea I like McCain all that much. Just like G. Bush he is VERY liberal. Both are closet Socialists. 2 of the BIGGEST socialist programs ever inacted in this country were put in in the last 8 years. The first was the perscription drug "benifit". This one alone is a budget buster. It promises to be more expensive in just a few years than Medicare. The second was this vile mortgage bailout. Why in the name of pluperfect hell should I have to have my hard earn money spent on bailing out people and companies that got themselfs in trouble. Most of the mortgages that failed were bad loans on second and third houses that were bought for speculation. And besides, it was never very bad anyway. Not with 95-96% of mortgages being paid on time. A 4-5% default rate is not worth another New Deal size spending bill. Layoutshooter

Falligator... your'e scaring me with "he's the smartest for the job." Richard Nixon was wicked smart. Jimmy Carter(trained nuclear engineer) was smart. Bill Clinton, God help us all, was so smart he got himself impeached. Being "smartest for the job" is highly overrated. Give me a natural born leader even of average intelligence anyday. At this juncture in American history, we're due for some solid leadership. It's been a long, dry spell since Ronald Reagan left the scene.

Only reason Clinton looked good on the economy was the vastly over extended internet stocks that crashed as soon as he left office. If Obama gets in it will be 4 more years of Carter. Double digit intrest rates and inflation. Y'all are complaining now about business just wait for the Obamanation to take hold.

I am going to start a write in campain for Bugs Bunny. Why you should vote for bugs.

1. When trouble came he could dig a hole to hide. (like a liberal)

2. Is a master of disguise. (like an independent)

3. Could outsmart a gun carrying man named Sam.(like a conservitive)

4. Befriended a duck. (like an evironmentalist)

What more could you ask for????
