I rant against the ideas you profess, TalCal, not you. I kinda feel sorry for you for I feel you are being badly duped. I have great respect for what I consider to be "normal" but different ways of thinking. I know that I am not always right. (I just cannot remember when I was wrong) My past makes me look long and hard at Osama Obama, he stands for and believes in everything that I fought against for 20 years. He hates all that I love, believe in and live for. I feel that he is a vile thug out to destroy my way of life. His kind are slick and smooth and can seem like the answer. The answer is only found in hard work, less government and personal responsibility. I take responsibilty for what I do, not my race, my ancesters or anyone else. I am my own man, everyone else should do the same. I extend charity to those people or causes that I believe in. I do not believe charity should be forced by law. I take care of my wife and myselfs heath care. My responsibility, not yours, not the governments. That is how I was raised, free, proud and responsible. I will not change. I cannot be forced and Obama WILL use force to usher in his Marxist Utopia.
He has stated this. He calls it enforcement of the law. I call it just plain force. He will have me and others like me killed. He will send ATF or IRS agents to "collect" what is due. I will fight. This is the "man" who claims he will "bring Americans together". You are who you hand with. That "thing" hangs with felons, hate mongers and terrorists. Obama has stated more than once that he does not trust me or people like me. Why should I then trust him? I hang with vets, firefighters, conservationists, law abiding gun owners and family men. I dispise all that he stands for and who he stands with. I spent twenty years defending my way of life from people like Osama Obama, old habits and old "Shadow Warriors" die hard. We seem to be on the same path as far has what was instilled in us in our upbrings. It's funny, i find the same attributes in those that have true conseverative ideals and none of those people will be voting for obama.

It seems to be those that figure the governement will fix all of the problems in their life that want all of the "handout" entitlement programs that obama is promising, like the, "youth training camps!!"

The point I have been trying to get across is that our country, in general,goes through political trysts.There is no real explination for these turns in twists and it appears that the bottom line is Americans tend to vote their wallets.The other unfortunate thing is that the party in power tends to pay the price for the empty wallets of Americans at the end of their term in office.I don't know about you,but my entire contribution to my 401 K plan for this year has been negated by the false mortgage market presented as investment plans by Wall Street to retirment fund investors.I'm not alone. It appears that most independant voters feel the same way.The Republicans must pay the price for the tumbling and disasterous financial condition of our markets,and ulitmatly the voters will let them know in 40 days.

Your various concerns for your freedom and liberties are genuine and speak to your philosiphy and interpritation of personal freedom under the Constitution.However,it is difficult for me to understand how you question the motives of any politician with a different view of what our nation needs.The current administration has lied and schemed and taken us further away from the real threat to settle a personal vendetta in Iraq.It is the complete lack of oversight and the appearence that Bush was brought to power with a mandate to trample our rights and spend all our treasure.Many Americans are ready to vote the entire bunch out of office. There is a distrust of Government,and in paticular those who have been driving the bus the last 8 years that I have never seen,even during the dreadful Nixon days.

I must also comment on your perception that a Harvard educated individual who has devoted his adult life to working for those less fortunate,as opposed to an ex cheerleader alchoholic son of a close friend to our enemy,the Saudi's,who lost millions of taxpayers money on fraudulant oil and gas schemes,is somehow less qualified to set our country on course then Bush. I highly doubt that we are headed for a Marxist Utopia,and I find that assumption to be more humorous then realistic. However,it is your opinion,but it seems not to be coming from the level headed posts you engaged in with Beemer.Once again,your a very bright guy,but I find some of the attention grabbing post (aimed at the Leo types) to be out of your league. You will find a way to exist quite well in an Obama led America,I assure you.No,you may not have the likes of Cheney and Rumsfelt directing our Military to defeat,but you may have a military focused on finding the real bad guys who have been mocking our inept determination to turn the war on terror into an American embarresment. I lived in the deep woods of the Santa Cruz mountains and hid out from the authorities as a wanted draft resister and political disident for many,many years. I bore children in a log cabin with my own two hands. I grew all my own food and fished the beach's of the central coast for food. I survived on my own wits and eventually did time as a political prisoner in the good old US of A. The Vietnam war was another waste of time and money that we eventually lost and I wanted no friggen part of it.And I refused to run. Let the *******s find me.They eventually did.
After I did my time I decided society needed me more then the birds and the bee's and the banana slugs. I reentered society to work for meaningful change,and to represent all my fallen friends who died for politicians and corporate mugs who prospered on the backs of the Marines that were part of my life as a kid. I know all about fighting the government and being locked away for a while because of the corrupt nature of aggresive war and nation building. It cross's party lines and since world war two war has been nothing but ego tripping by the likes of Bush one and two,Nixon,Johnson,Kennedy,Truman etc.
You talk a good line man,but you really know nothing of truly fighing the US Government,hell,you were one of their minoins and did their dirty work.I decided to come out of the woods to fight within the system and thats exactly what I have done.Along the way I also infiltrated the corporate world and have frisked them for lots of cash,legally.
It's not that hard as they are for the most part pretty street dumb and easy marks for articulate well dressed slobs like me.I use my money to promote just causes and provide the less fortunate with crumbs cast off by the wasteful restruants and corporate kitchens in the Bay Area. Their called food banks,check one out sometime.
You want to talk about your rights,try having them deprived for a while instead of running to Canada or some other BS I hear on this site .Work for change.

If you haven't heard the news today, you know that 700 BILLION bail out bill? There was a small pittance of 100 MILLION put in for ACORN! I can't friggin believe it!!! They got their hands caught in the cookie jar, and now they're trying to steal cookies IN FULL VIEW!!!

You talk about paying close attention in Washington, but all you come up with is Bush-this and Republican-that. If you deny Frank, Dodd, Reid, Obama, Hillary, and Shumer had nothing to do with F-F; and it was all on Bush and the Republicans, you truly are a sheep. We've had the adjuster out and the guy that will do all the repair work and contracting. We'll get estimates next week from both of them and as soon as they can be reconciled work can begin. It's a long time associate doing the work so I can go back to work and won't have to stay and supervise or anything. I hope to be back out within 2 weeks and hopefully a little sooner.

Glad to hear things are working out for you. Things on the truck are moving, slowly and not without problems, but moving. We just about finished specking out the new box, the order will be placed on Monday. Got some hard news to take today, I was told that the insurance company was going to have me pay a 10% per year depreciation on it. That will be a total of 20% or somewhere around 6 grand. I am not real happy about it. We are looking into a remidy for this but who knows what will happen. I don't mind paying for things that I do wrong, if I wreck it I owe it. In this case I was told I could not leave. I was not even in the truck. I had NO control over the situation. I most surely would have left had I been allowed too. Oh well, we shall see, whatever happens the truck will get fixed in Mid-November. We are able to work with the old box till then, just can't run any TVAL loads. Sometimes your the bug and sometimes your the windshield, sure would like to be the windshield for once!!!! LOL layoutshooter
