Now I See

Have been driving nearly blind for a year now in a 2003 Ford e350. The lights are terrible. Tried replacing the bulbs and refocusing, nothing helped. Two weeks ago I ordered and installed the following conversion lights

PHP:
 2 pcs "Hella 003427011 190 x 132mm Series H4 Type Single High/Low Beam Headlamp"
Automotive; $40.66 each.
  Sold by: Amazon.com, LLC

They replace the original rectangular bulbs. There is a mounting aperture in the rear for the new style H4 bulb sold at Walmart for about $9.
It took a few tries to get them aimed just right but now they are fantastic.
The results are amazing, literally night to day.
Yes, I aimed them low so as not to blind other drivers.
Anyone having trouble seeing (and staying awake) at night might consider this conversion.

I had Cibie 55/100's for a couple of my cars long ago. On high beam they could melt the chrome off the bumper of the vehicle in front of you at 18". It was a lot easier to get jerks to dim their headlights too. If a quick blip didn't get them to do it putting them onto high beam would.
