hows dad ?

Believe it or not still in the hospital. I think today is day 24. They just can not seem to get the thickness of his blood right and stable. Tough as it is really stressing Greta and my mother in law out.

2nd load for the day is complete. Started the day in South Carolina, and ended up in Mississippi.

That might be a record turn around out of Dallas.

I have what i think is a legitimate question. How can dispatch give a turn down on a load they haven't even quoted or booked? Is it just me or does that seem a little off base.

If they called you can said... "Will you do...", and you say no, before they even quote the load, I can't see where it would go againt you. It would be a loss of potential income for the company.

It wasn't something that upset me i just have to question it. Its turning down a potential load but on ones they are quoting it seems like one out of three or four actually happen.

Well, I don't see a turn down in the system for you? My thought or concern would be why would the company pay layover or deadhead if we are not allowed to go after certain freight? I am not sure that is fair on our end. The turn downs are generally the only way we have to record this info in the system and compare it to things like the layover requests or when owners question miles/loads.

Bing bang bong 3 in a row and the world won't slowdown! Lol

Careful what you ask for. A whole day in-service after repairs and now I'm back OOS again till Monday at least for another repair. Tis the season for repairs  Gonna need some nice running till Christmas to make it up.

No i said if he could get some lay over i would do it. Like i said wasn't upset just brought the question to my mind. A Thursday pu delivering Monday when Friday is possible time wise is potential lost revenue on the drivers end that even some layover won't cover. I honestly see both sides.

I guess it is the part of not knowing if we would get the load but yet getting a td is what makes me ask. I mean from my experience good chance we won't get it but yet you have a td. It is one of those tricky scenarios like so many are.
