This ain't good, Greg you posted on this guy in another thread, and a few others are aware of him, but then a few here have also blown any talk about hs 2A stance off as "tinfoil stuff..." but ....this guy thinks 1A is overaed and not needed. He is strongly against 2A....oh and he wants to let you dog hire a lawyer and sue you also.....

The Washington Independent Cass Sunstein Confirmed 57-40

Cass Sunstein, President Obama’s pick to head the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, was confirmed handily by the Senate just now by a vote of 57 ayes to 40 nays. Glenn Beck will no doubt rue this day for as long as he shall live.

As was the case during yesterday’s cloture vote, Sens. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) and James Webb (D-Va.) voted against Sunstein. Though he supported cloture for the Harvard law professor, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who caucuses with the Democrats, also voted “no” on Sunstein’s confirmation. Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) presided over the vote.

Got ammo? It's about to be almost impossible to buy legally...you might want to continue to stock up....or start...

Well the bigger fear is not ammo it is how he will influence any first amendment rights legislation and how he will use his power to stifle free speech. See he is a big proponent of revising the first amendment which is scary in itself and at the very time that the courts are deciding on the legitimately of campaign free speech and McCain/Finegold, we have this guy coming into power.

Then we have his position on Animal Rights, sure those dolphins who are good to eat now have legal representation in our courts. It don't matter if I just finished having dolphin steak, they now can sue me over not buying dolphin safe tuna.

But again the funnier thing that has happened is he is now the official presiding over the White House Propaganda Ministry.

Goebbels would be proud.

Seriously I think we need to start demanding that if we are going to be called a democracy, we as the people need that one thing that makes us a democracy - the ability to recall members of congress and to impeach members of the other branches of government as we see fit. We need to shed the Vail of Protection of these guys in congress and in the Presidents cabinet and move our country into what we allowed to have removed - power. It is a liberal idea, it is a very good idea and even though it is a democracy idea, it is also a republic idea. Glenn Beck, Rush and all the others would do the country more good if they stop with the scattered nitpicking and just focus on that.

i think most understand the free speech that could be restricted , but then again those here that believe this is all tin foil stuff will disagree that this guy can do or would do anything and nothing is just not going to happen, may be in for a rude awakening...as to the ammo, the libs are seeing that the people will and are arming themselves in record numbers..... they know they can't stop that...so with cass's view of 2A, barry and dead fish rahms desire to disarm america...their best bet to to legislate restrictions on ammo......

without ammo, 2A is basically a dead deal....and without 2A, 1A is gone....

This guy typifies those that Barack Hussein Obama has associated with his entire adult life - radical liberals. Here's a little more insight into this latest wacko that BHO has chosen to dictate the terms of our everyday lives:

A version of the same paper also appeared as the introduction to Animal Rights: Current Debates and New Directions, a 2004 book that Sunstein co-edited with then-girlfriend Martha Nussbaum. In that book, Sunstein set out an ambitious plan to give animals the legal “right” to file lawsuits. We're not joking:

“[A]nimals should be permitted to bring suit, with human beings as their representatives, to prevent violations of current law … Any animals that are entitled to bring suit would be represented by (human) counsel, who would owe guardian like obligations and make decisions, subject to those obligations, on their clients’ behalf.”

It doesn't end there. Sunstein delivered a keynote speech at Harvard University’s 2007 “Facing Animals” conference. (Click here to watch the video; his speech starts around 39:00.) Keep in mind that as OIRA Administrator, Sunstein will have the political authority to implement a massive federal government overhaul. Consider this tidbit:

I made a list of names of those that they would know, and have provided written instructions as to how to make their lives a living hell when the time is right and will work best the their advantage.....you'd be surprised just how easy it cn be to be as evil as needed.....
