North Carolina Runs

What is going on with freight down south? I am sitting in Haw River, NC. I am at one of the few places that have wi-fi, which sucks. Everytime that I get down here, I seem to get stuck. I always d/h out. Are there any hot spots down here that I should know about? Should I move to another area? Or is it just the Canadian carrier that I am leased with?! Do any of the carriers get runs out of here? If so then who?

One reason may be how close to Christmas it is. Most manufacturing begins in the north central US and Canada, then makes it's way to plants in the south. I usualy get out of Atlanta or Greenville fairly quick. You may ask your dispatch how many trucks are on the board where you are.

Cozy: You say you are leased to a Canadian carrier. Are you a Canadian citizen or a US citizen leased to the US division of a Canuck?
If you are a Canadian citizen; then you have to get a load back to Canada, or deadhead home.
Have you contacted any freight forwarders? They sometimes get leads on shipments to Canada because there is extra paperwork involved.
I imagine Atlanta would be a spot to check for forwarders; that's where the biggest international airport in the southeast is located. Most forwarders have their offices in proximity to an international airport.

North Carolina can be good but I've never had any luck out of Haw River. Every time I end up there I wait 24 hours and end up moving.

Later in week is better than trying to get out on M or Tues reason being is Nations is centered there and the drivers all want to come home F and leave on M or Tues.

I live there and compete with their frieght and get alot of their freight (thank you) South Carolina is in my opinion better fewer Nations trucks. But for the rest of you stay up North and leave my freight alone and if you do come south may the alligators scare you away. Or at least when I do go home.

Really you should be out of there in two days max.

Hi
Clinton ships to St. Catherines On and Bedford PQ.Also a small place in Haws River just south of the J that ships to Oshawa ON and Oakville ON.If you decide to start heading back north make sure to stop at Wythville VA.You'll probably have to hang out there untill late Monday or early Tuesday but its a good spot for Canadian loads.Hope that helps.
