I’m usually pumped this close to the season opener.
This year, not so much.

I agree with Tony D. 3 minutes before kickoff is not the time to protest.

And I hope they figure out what made Richie Incognito go off the rails. Sad story.

The anthem drama is a fodder for the media. It's click bait.

I cannot understand why people have such high expectations for jocks. These guys are athletes. When someone needs accounting advice, do they go to a jock? How about legal advise? Attorney or jock? All jocks are not political activists.

Incognito is barely worth mentioning. He's a juiced up nut .. and that's not fresh news.

I believe ESPN recently avoided televising the anthem. They went straight to the game. Good! I want all the drama seeking folks to tune into their favorite reality show.

I WANNA WATCH SPORTS! I don't wanna hear about who got arrested, who has a colorful social life or what their political views are. Let's play some ball!

I have very similar thoughts except for Richie.
The funeral home arrest is disturbing.
He wanted to have his father’s head cut off !

Too many hits to his head ?
Too many drugs administered by the team ?
If it’s recreational drugs, then it’s on him.
If not, are we letting people kill themselves for our entertainment?

I am not advocating flag football by any means.
I’m just not feeling a good vibe as they hit harder.
Thinking back to the old leather helmets, maybe those guys were beat up. We just didn’t have the info.

Nor any reality shows.
Or really much TV at all.
Never did and probably never will.

NFL ?
I’ll probably be ok after a few TDs and a few TOs.

In the 90’s I was running a bid for Roadway at almost $1800 per week. Company driver, great benefits.
Guy at Matthews Mo telling me he’s desperate. Can’t feed his family.
I tell him race up to Chicago Heights. Roadway was hiring almost anyone capable of filling out an app.
The guy says to me “ Union ? No wonder they can’t get help.”
And he walks away from me. SMH.

The Giants lost last week but the offense looks promising. Both OBJ and Barkley had over 100 yrds, Eli is slinging the ball all over the place.
The Cowboys looked anemic in a loss to the Panthers.

Look for Big D to be a Big Dud against the the G-Men in Dallas. Cowboys could very well be 0-3 by the time they face the Lions ...
