New Toy

I went to my favorite local gun store today, to buy a new cleaning rag. While there I did as normal, checked out a few guns.

I am not quite sure how it happened, but some how, a new Sig Sauer P238 followed me home! SWEET little piece. Light weight, small, VERY easy to carry. I was going to head to the range today but it looks like a storm brewing. I can wait to get out and shoot it! The sights are VERY easy to see. I can pick them up as soon as it comes up.

Now I am only one hand gun behind Mrs. Layoutshooter! :p

Let us know how well it shoots.

I sure will!! Should shoot a tight group at 30'.

I am still not sure how it followed me home. Kinda like those beagle pups that followed me home when I was a little kid. Those hot dogs had nothing to do with it. :D

It's always a good day when new guns are involved!

I starting to get into bow hunting myself, Saw a nice HOYT bow double cam 75 lbs draw 335 FPS Im told this thing is like a sniper rifle at 50 yds. Specing out the release and extras gonna pick it up by fall if all goes right and chase Bamby around with it in a few months
If not the HOYT maby the Mission hybrid almost half the price and still shoots hot at 325 FPS.

Hoyt makes a good bow. Takes a TON of range time to get good with a bow. I used to shoot for hours and hours when I was younger. I had to quit the bow when my shoulders went out. Besides, archery season and duck season are at the same time. I would rather be out on the lake chasing ducks. I go deer hunting with the rifle, muzzleloader and shotgun later in the season.

Don't know how it happened huh? Where have I heard that before? Those are very nice. SIG makes one of the best handguns around. I have a nice one in .38 Super with a Teddy Jacobson action job. He does magnificent work. Congrats on a neat new toy, enjoy it, at least until the boss likes it so much she requisitions it from you. :D

LOL!! She has the Bersa .380 she won at the DU dinner this past spring. She has, however, already says she likes mine better!

Sure wish I could have went to the range today but I am NOT shooting with lighting around. Maybe I can get out Sunday after church. We have a wedding to go to tomorrow so that kills that day.

The new Sig is SWEEEET! Sights are easy to see and it groups nice. The ONLY problem is the trigger pull is a bit heavy for my tastes so I will have that taken care of. Mrs. Layoutshooter LOVES it! She is going to sell her Bersa and Lady Smith and buy a Sig! She CANNOT have mine!

Shot the Ruger MKII target .22, that is a lot of cheap shooting fun. Shot the .357/.38 as well. GOOD TIMES!

Bersa? Joe you have a PM :D

Sigs are nice, haven't had one yet.. my "go to" handgun is just a S & W Sigma 9mm (Glock 19 Clone)... not the the most expensive, but super reliable, accurate, and never had a jam.

I love the Sig. It is SO small and light. My 'go to never going to break gun' is my Ruger SP101 .357. Heavy and a bit big but at 30' the muzzle blast alone has taken the target off the hangers!

I have had s&w and Taurus but never a sig. I may look in to one when I get home.

I like everything about mine except the trigger pull, WAY too heavy. I am going to take it in and have it lightened up to between 2-4lbs. I am used to 2-3. This P238 has sights, not the night sights, that line up natural. They come up easy.
