New expedite vehicle available?

There was a load posted on a board a few minutes ago.

Pickup 1-27-2009 at 8:00 am

Deliver 1-26-09 at 10:00 pm

The flux capacitor is broken in my Sprinter, so I don't think I'll be able to run that load.

What kind of rate would you charge to make the pickup and delivery times on that?

My truck in South Dakota got a load offer at 12:30 yesterday to pickup in Nashville, TN @ 1:30 but the driver couldnt get the rockets to ignite so dispatch hit the driver with a refusal. Where are they finding them these days?!?!?

I would be calling one's supervisor, or in this case, one's "stupidvisor" to get that taken off. Someone needs a geography lesson there. Are they still hiring temps?

Driver relations was as stunned as I was and promptly removed the refusal. But these 2 examples seem to be part of a growing trend. Alot of the new dispatchers seem to get "stuck in stupid". While there are many good dispatchers at our company, I dont seem to get them much anymore. I understand that practice makes perfect and some have managed to become perfect idiots, lol
