First time I had trouble with mine,(old one was stopping part way through the scan, and not doing anything else, acting as if it had scanned the whole page) went to the shop on Friday, he gave me a new black one, and it works spectacular!

Thats what mine keeps doing..all of them lol. I was thinking it had to be a software issue, but Matt said a ton of these old scanners all started breaking down the past few weeks.

Don't be saying things like that I have my original scanner....I keep it stored in the protective case, put the USB cord inside the case and keep it out of the sunlight and clean the heads once and awhile...never had a problem with it...

Also on my original QC unit and Scanner...case is mt'd and the cable is right with it....no problems..well sometimes it won't boot up, so i just pull the fuses and leave them out for 20-30 seconds and re-install and its all good....

My cable stays plugged onto the black box. The cable is secure other than the 3-foot length that stays within easy reach to be plugged into the scanner. The scanner stays in its case until I need it. Never had a problem yet.

I mounted the scanner on the flip side of the [passenger] visor, and the cable stays plugged in. Most of the very long cable is tucked into a pocket on the visor, with the USB poking out. I pull a foot or so to connect to QC, and the rest if connecting to the laptop which is on the bed.
Works fine, no problems.

I've finally been added to workflow and had a chance to use it last week. I like it. Legible. More information, and I don't lose any information from before. Yes, the info may be spread over more pages, but navigating the pages is no more than scrolling through the old system. Navigation holds more information on one screen, so between my gps and navigation, I have much less need to switch between screens on the gps.

It is really a lot easier especially when you have a multi stop load or things like that. Are the longer time users liking it? How about the ALK navigation?

Had a multi stop load taking emergency supplies to VA after the storm. Much easier to input info. Arrival and delivery times were more accurate being stop specific.

ALK very good. Still gets lost in PA, POI's still inop when moving, and pushing the "GO" button on Workflow does not bring up bring up any directions.

I was surprised at how well it works, after hearing someone complain at how difficult it is to use, the user complained of many more steps to retrieve information.I find it easier in all areas.I think I am not doing something correctly, do I still have to go into my inbox to see the pay like I am still doing? And, I am still pod'ing and arriving the same as before, using macros to get to that point. Is there something I need to do to stay in the workflow screen?Or just keep on dong what I am doing? Other than that, yes, it is a lot easier.Better of a layout.

You still get your revenue info as messages. All other functions are handled through Workflow.

You can get to Workflow by pushing the button on the lower right of the QC that has the clipboard icon on it. Then touch the screen on the shipper info. A screen will come up saying arrived and loaded. Touch arrived and push confirmed. When loaded, touch the loaded tab and the screen for load info will come up. Same procedure when you get to the delivery.

Thanks, Mr.Wolfeman! I remember them showing me, but, for us short-memoried people, some kind of page for reference would so helpful in times of these brain farts....lol...
