Thank you.
Quite welcome.

I don't understand one thing you said. How is my defense of our Constitution EVER going to harm anyone?
You clearly have something specific in mind - however I did not find it in this thread, nor do I recall it off the top of my head .....

Perhaps you can direct me to it so that I might view my statement in context ?

As you may have gathered by now, I don't worry about what others think of my positions.
Yup - it is a pity that the same cannot not always be said for others ....

"Kudos for having such principles and being willing to stand by them - even if doing so may ultimately cause certain outcomes that you feel to be dangerous and detrimental to the security of our country."

It was this section. Maybe I just don't understand exactly what you meant. Not trying to be a pain. That is why I asked, to understand.

lol....Turtle, I am the one who started the poll, I know which is the right answer, I don't have to Google it. I am looking to see what others think about the issue.

You know what we think?!? Spooky! So listening to Glen Beck is finally paying off for you!

No problem at all - allow me to clarify:

Essentially what I was saying that you took a stand ("Controlling the outlet is NOT the answer") based on principle (ie. to follow the fundamental law of the land: The Constitution and Bill of Rights)

Further, I would assume that it would be your position that what has been released by Wikileaks may, in some way, endanger, or be detrimental to the security of our country - but despite that you choose to stand firm on the above principle.

I think you are correct in the matter, because violating the principle (prior restraint, unbridled restriction of a free press, etc) is a far, far greater danger to this country than perhaps anything else ....

Make sense ?

Wikileaks nor Assange are US citizens, so the constitutional protections don't really apply to them. And neither have anything to do with net neutrality.

Yes it does. I am consistent on our Constitution.

Wikileaks, however, is NOT part of our "Free Press". They have an agenda to destroy this Nation. I doubt that they are, for the most part, from this country. Their "reporting" is extreme, biased, and VERY unbalanced. That, however, is NOT the fault of the internet. Our government has NO business controlling the internet or ANY type of news outlet or political speech.

While many in here do not agree with the idea that freedom REQUIRES responsibility, I DO!! A true "FREE PRESS" would NOT be biased. They would also understand that reporting just for reporting sake can be as harmful or even MORE harmful than no press at all. Pravda is just ONE example of that.

Our press has not been very responsible of late to say the least.
Inaccurate and/or irresponsible reporting has cost the lives of MANY of our fighting men and women over seas. That kind of "reporting", you know, going for ratings only, has cost many their legs, arms or the use of their brains. I learned much about what our "FREE PRESS" has done while sitting around our campfire this year. Talking with those wounded vets was a REAL eye opener, even for me. I knew it was bad but I had NO idea just how bad it is.

They are amazing men though, strong and proud of their service. It was a real honor to sit and listen to their stories. It was humbling to know that they felt "safe" with me and were able to "open up".

The "abuse" of a position or a "freedom" is just as great a threat to our freedoms as a government out of control.

I think it shows that the OP is trying to play games with other member's knowledge, or lack of.

By posting poll questions that I have read or heard others saying about Net Neutrality? Why would that be playing games? I am curious to know what the Soapbox thinks it means.

I don't have time for games or tests. It's one thing to have adult discussions on the issues of the day, quite another to "bait" the membership in hopes of an opportunity to hold someone up for ridicule. I won't participate in that.

You just did. Thank you for participating.

I have no idea what you think about Net Neutrality, that is why I posted the poll. How in God's name would listening to Beck have anything to do with me knowing what you think?

Oh I get it. One or more of the choices is something that Beck has said Net Neutrality is in his opinion. I hope you participated in the poll.
