Need some advice

This is a first for us..delivering "in DC". We are a 40ft straight truck, not a hazmat load.
If you were to plan a route from I-95 South (out of NY) going to the 1100 block of Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC. How would you get to that location?
We have a route planned, but never having been in that area, I want to make sure we have as little trouble as possible, so I am asking for recommendations.
We delivered to Arlington one time and it was an absolute nightmare.
Help?

Take 1 in, or 50 which turns into new york. It's a cake walk to the mint.

Try and remember tho, if you have problems with yer 40 footer, don't slam the sleeper curtains.

I came down to I-495 and then to US 50 and on into the District from there. Last year I delivered something to the Mayflower Hotel, which was on Connecticut. I remember it because I picked up in Connecticut and delivered to Connecticut. :)

I'm in a van, but I don't recall noticing that that route would be a problem for a straight, which is something I usually keep in mind in case I go crazy and move to a straight truck as a solo. Then again, I was also driving in DC and might not have been paying attention.

So, to sum it up, I have no usable advice whatsoever to give you. Never mind. :)

Hmm....we're picking up in Connecticut too. Still haven't decided exactly what route to take in. I wish it was a "middle of the night" delivery and not a "morning rush hour" one.

Wondering if I could get away with "slamming the curtain" and hiding in the back? ;)
