Being kinda of a techno geek, I advise staying away from Dell laptops. I have had two, my mom one, various family members have had them as well...within a year batteries go bad and touchpad stop working properly. I'd advise to get a good hp or toshiba.

Also IMHO Windows is losing their luster with me and I bought my first used MacBook couple of months ago and now I I barely touch my desktop (1300 dollar hp).

If you need memory get a ext. Hard drive or a hard drive that uses the WiFi card. ..
