Greetings everyone. I just joined today (7/19). I owned a small expedite company for several years in NC. I have been out of the business for almost two years now. I relocated to N AZ recently. I know most of the big names in the expedite industry but wanted to find out if there are any that are located out west here or if any are stronger in this area. I am looking at driving my self in either a cargo van, sprinter, or a straight. Any input or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Not to put too fine a point on it, but if you owned a small expedite company for several years, and have only been out of the business for two years, you should know that none of the expedited companies are located out west, and all of them are weaker in that area. You should know where the expedited freight lanes are, where expedited freight comes from, and from where it does not. You can certainly run expedited freight out west, sometimes 6 or 8 loads a month, or you can run expedited freight where expedited freight occurs most often and get back home to Arizona once or twice a year.

We have done a good bit of business in the Tuscon area. Several loads in Phoenix/Tempe as well. We could get in and out of the area several times a year. Most is reefer or government work. We are a "D" TVAL truck.

Perhaps. But at least it's honest. Apparently I misunderstood what you meant when you said, "Any input or direction would be greatly appreciated." I didn't realize you wanted a rosy picture instead of the truth.
