Veteran Expediter
I needed two new steers and found that I got a good discount from FedEx, but I am wonder is my experince normal?
Mind you I haven’t bought tires this size ever, only 19.5s and know there is a difference but come on.
Here is the quote;
$285.00 – Goodyear 295/75R22.5 G395 LHS
$25.23 –Excise tax
$20.00 – per tire to mount and balance
$110.00 – front end alignment
$10.00 – replacement shock per side
A better deal on the shocks than the dealer quoted - $62.00 each.
I figured that this would cost me $915 including the shocks but without sales tax.
Here is what the bill was;
$570.00 – Goodyear 295/75R22.5 G395 LHS
$50.46 –Excise tax
$37.23 – sales tax
$50.00 – Balancing tire
$36.00 – Removal/remount tire/rim off of truck
$24.00 – Removal/remount tire off of rim
Then -
$110.00 - Front end alignment labor
$65.00 - Camber Correction labor
A total of $942.69 without shocks
And there is a check coming for the old tires, so that is $60 – putting the bill at $882.69 with no shocks.
Apparently no one has shocks for this truck in the state of Michigan.
