I remember reading something similar a few years ago. At an assembly, the speaker asked, "How many of you are going to be professional basketball players?" Dozens of hands went up."
"How many of you are going to be famous rappers?" Again, dozens of hands.
Then he burst their bubbles, showing them how the numbers said that somewhere between a couple and none of them would ever have any inkling of success in those or similar fields, so all but a couple of them would find themselves doing something else, so they'd better have a backup plan.
A whole lot of yutes have expectations that news to be adjusted drastically, even under the rosiest of projections.
