well its my 3rd week been out the lead driver still dont know how too shift and im starting too think when he is tired and my hours in sleeper are not up yet he starts too really jerk the truck just too wake me up lol
but has a new problem last wed i think it was started driving at like 10 pm around 11 got a little sleepy so i stopped had a smoke maybe was stopped for at least a min
so from 11 too 8 am i maybe stopped 8 times all a min at least just too get some fresh air maybe bathroom just too wake up enough too drive
well i guess the lead driver got a call from dispatch they told him that shouldnt have been done and they asked him why i was rather upset and mad it seemed too me that they would rather me fall asleep than stop or wake the other driver up even though his hours are up

not really sure what to do have yet from the owner of the truck
told the lead driver fine next time i feel a little sleepy instead of stopping for a min or two will shut the truck down for an hour see how dispatch likes it then
so is looking for either a new owner too go with or a new company dont want too again not sure what i should do
is really frustrated over this and the way this lead driver dont know how too shift or follow road signs and gets lost lol

Not trying to be funny, but it sounds like you need a new owner or lead driver,or a automatic transmission, and a GPS.

As an owner dont you think you need to let a driver set a pattern first. Late once a week for three weeks straight seems to set a undependable pattern here. Now late once a month is not a pattern. I would much rather see my truck undamaged than someone fighting sleep.

Pre-trip all your routes, look and study a map keep it open next to you and write your route before departing from a dock. With two people this should be done and discussed with both drivers when leaving so you both know what the other is doing. Is this not just common sense?

When my Megellan can not pull up an address or the lap top (Very rare) I sit down with an old fashion map and write down my route, call dispatch for the locals from the nearest interstate exit or state road. Much time, and fuel will be waisted on being lost or going out of route, money that cannot be recouped and as for time there may be another team that comes in behind you that you should have been available before them but you were lost your problem your nickle.

If an owner and driver or drivers do not have any common sense between the three of them time for the smartest one to bolt.
