I see the diesel version is B20 abled as well......I know even with my engine Mercede 5 cyl...I take a hit of 1-2 mpg on Bio...which is like only not quite 10% hit...

Remember when propane was about .20 a gallon too?.....now look at what supply and demand does.....

NG was a lot cheaper as well when cars first ran on it....now look...

I've been doing a lot of thinking. When my sprinter hits 120 to 150k. I'm thinking on trading it in on a new transit. I know your suppose to give the new stuff at least year or two, but I know after 100k its really going to cost.

I went by a Ford Dealer on Milwaukee Ave.in Niles ll, they had a New Transit just had to look at it.
It was a 350 high roof, extended van, even retire I would have bought it in a heart beat. Good looking truck and had all the creature comforts.

With E-85 typically getting 30% lower mpg than regular fuel you'd need to see at least that difference in prices at the pump to even consider it. The current avg price difference is nowhere near that.

Hey hoser, we're Americans and we buy E85 because it is the patriotic thing to do. By using a fuel that is 85% ethanol, made from American grown corn, we are reducing our dependence on foreign oil. Why pay a foreign cartel made up of towel wearing terrorists exorbitant prices for oil? That goes for you toque wearing oil sheiks up north also.

Let's keep our hard earned dollars here in America. We can pay a domestic cartel made up of ball cap wearing terrorists exorbitant prices for ethanol that gives us up to 30% less fuel mileage. We can support the American Corn Growers Association and our farmers at the pumps and through our taxes that generously subsidize the growing of corn and its processing for fuel.

Converting corn into ethanol for fuel increases the cost for most foods which is good for our country. Americans are overweight and the less food we can afford, the less we will eat and the healthier we will become. Beef and milk prices have risen due to the demand for corn for fuel. With the less beef we eat and the less milk we drink, there will be fewer cows farting methane which contributes to global warming.

The demand for corn/ethanol for fuel is also driving up the cost of corn/ethanol used in liquor. The more expensive liquor becomes, the less people will drink, reducing drunk driving fatalities.

America is a major exporter of food to the world. The more food we turn into fuel, the less we export. The less we export, the less people in third world countries will have to eat. The less they eat the greater the increase in the mortality rate due to starvation. The greater the increase in the mortality rate the less people there will be competing for the planet's limited resources and mucking up the environment.

I say pass a law requiring all gas sold in this country to be E99. 99% ethanol with 1% gasoline added just to keep people from drinking it. What's good for the Corn Holers Association, the American farmer and the environment is also good for all of us. Let's get behind these groups and show them what we as Americans can do.

Once again, moot has proven he is the master of rationalization.

I spoke with half a dozen pm drivers only one has claimed to be getting over 17mpg and he said he drives under 60 mph.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A

I got 17 mpg at 70 MPH when it was brand new. At 30K miles, I was getting about 19 mpg at the same speed

Looked at the first diesel powered long and tall transit 3 miles from the house the other night. 47k on the price pretty loaded. It was a 350 with a 9500 gvw I'm pretty sure. The led xargo aewa lighting was incredible. The cab lighting sucks.

Just to add my 2 cents... I drove 2 2015 Transit 250s yesterday. One with the Ecoboost V-6 and one with the 3.7 N/A v-6. Both were the mid-roof 148" wheelbase. Very nice vans. Seems to me the Transits are a huge improvement over the E-Series vans. I also drove a 2014 E-350 Extended van for comparison. I am just starting out and have applied with Panther, but not sure if I am ready to make such a huge investment in a new van. However finding a good used van is proving to be difficult.

That is like I have seen with mine... @ 63 mph average is between 20 and 21 mpg depending on the weight, weather & such.

My most recent fully optioned 3500 extended Promaster was less than $38,000 out the door, including all taxes & fees.
