It is going to be a long hot summer, get ready for it........

For a fact I have a big ole box full of 30 ROUND MAGAZINES, they aren't clips, and I have had them for yrs, some over 20 yrs, and i have never pulled down on another person, so yes while I "use" them, its at the range or hunting, not on humans.........tyical B/S from a gun hater liberal..........

Oh and for what its worth, it is nothing new, April is a pretty famous month for killings, Columbine and VT were both in April also...Maybe we should ban the month of APRIL...........

Wow, I do have to hand it to you, that was one "snappy" comeback, sure put me in my place.....great argument you put up there...yeap it sure was........:D

But to answer your question, it ain't dead yet, and I'll deal with it along the way and if and when it happens...in the end the words, "Molon Labe" come to mind........

That is not true...Like others I have many firearms, many mags, (yes 30 rounders too). It is a life long hobby, life style. Those that don't have firearms will some day be thankful to the ones that do, when nut jobs come into your life firing away and someone shoots back..

Love it !! We have nut jobs describing nut jobs !! We can have a contest.

All those who think being a nut job for life and is a valid hobby raise their assault rifles

All those that think hobbies that don't require paranoid passion's and big belt buckles raise your surf boards

All those who think in the course of your hobby it's Ok to take out a few cops for practice raise your Colts

I think I'll head to Half Moon Bay after work ( next to Mavericks) and work on my hobby. Those harbor seals better get out of my way or their in trouble. My "gun" is a 12 ft Santa Cruz Surf Shop custom board with a dangerous angle to the nose .

I'm certainly put into my place now by the intelligent and snappy posts by those genius liberals in our midst. I can see now how incredibly wrong I've been in supporting the Constitution and in doubting the immense wisdom of legislating against inanimate objects rather than behaviors. I am now against ALL private ownership of motor vehicles, ALL private ownership of swimming pools, ALL public sale of tobacco products and ALL public sale of alcohol products. After all, we have to be fair and even handed in banning things that are sometimes misused, sometimes abused and sometimes taken advantage of. It's just too bad for the multitude of decent honest people who never do anything wrong because we just can't let them have and use and enjoy any of these things since a few abuse that privilege.

The federally mandated study on the assault weapons ban found just the opposite, though.

There are many "common sense" analogies and assumptions for gun control, and almost all of them are wrong (some of my own, included). You can believe what you believe, but the actual truth is the actual truth, and it's hard to refute the irrefutable.
Amazon.com: The Bias Against Guns: Why Almost Everything You've Heard About Gun Control Is Wrong: John R. Lott: Books

Anyone who thinks gun control is a good thing should read the book. Anyone who thinks gun control is a bad thing should also read it. I have never really been passionate one way or the other about most gun laws, because like most people, especially gun owners, it was OK as long as they didn't want to ban my gun. Assault weapons, bazooka, that's fine, that'll reduce crime, plus they won't be coming after my popgun single-shot .410 shotgun. The book took down a lot of my own myths and misunderstanding about gun control. A snotload of them. I don't even own a gun anymore, but that's mainly because I don't do much hunting anymore. Anyone who wants to argue in support of gun control really needs to get their act together, and one way to start is by reading that book.

They should also take a close look, a really close look at the following:
United States Crime Rates 1960 - 2007
Take a look at how the violent crime rates have just exploded since the end of the assault weapons ban (that was sarcasm).

Now you're talkin'... You're beginning to grasp the concept.
Soon the plan will come to fruition..

I believe we should start with the banning of cigarettes. They're the only product I can think of that will more than likely cause sickness and a slow, miserable death when used - legally or illegally - as intended by the manufacturer .;)

Well, we can't just ban cigarettes, We have to ban the tobacco plant itself, just like we have the marijuana plant. If we had stopped short and banned just joints, we'd still have a marijuana problem. Thank goodness they went with the whole plant.

Otherwise they'd be taxing it and makin' money off it.

Yes, there seems to be a rash of killings lately but then again, I can't remember the last time I picked up a newspaper and didn't see at least one article in it about someone getting shot. So much media hype with things like this. Some people will kill just to become 'famous' and get their name plastered all over the media. I read about that not too long ago. How sad to think that that is what you want to be remembered for: shooting and taking someone's life.
We're still trying to deal with the tragedy here in Binghamton. How ironic that cities/towns like Columbine, Binghamton, and the others will now go down in history and be remembered for a tragedy like this instead of something good and fun like the spiedie festival that people come from all over the U.S. for and things like that. Sad, so sad and heartbreaking. :(

Can I put my assault rifle down now.....Harbor seals taste like chicken! Got one on my belt buckle...

No need to have a contest on nut jobs...You win...

Another one found in AL this afternoon: wacko shoots estranged wife, teenaged daughter, his sister, her 11 year- old son and then himself. Seems their divorce was about to become final so he decided to go out in what he apparently considered to be a "blaze of glory".

Official: Ala. man kills wife, 3 others, self

IMHO a lot of this craziness is encouraged by the coverage the wackos get in the mainstream media and especially the 24/7 cable news media. In their perverted mind they decide they have nothing to live for so they'll show the world they were able to get even with whomever has wronged them, and invariably the media will portray them as "victims" and will run sympathy pieces about them in an effort to "understand" them and their situation. Maybe if the media would show these people as evil, crazy pieces of slime similar to the likes of Richard Speck they would be less likely to kill their innocent family members, co-workers or random members of the public.
