Someone from Ontario emailed these pictures to me. I would say "caution" should be the word of the day - everyday!

Aqua,

I didn't get a report on the driver but judging by the picture - it's not looking to good. Just my guess - Anyone ever jump out of the way of a 900# moose?

On I87 Vermont theres a sign that says Moose Xing next 1000 feet!! Now hows that for being exact!!! I asked about it at the visitor center and yep...they mean it!! so be warned! also with moose standing at over 7 feet tall you can't see it's glowing eyes if your in a van!
When we went to Newfoundland last year there's warnings all over when ya get off the ferry DON'T drive @ night! And most of the truckers don't!
It's reported that the moose population is over 150,000 and the cariboo is about 90,000...and adult bull can easily go 1500lbs and the rack about 7 foot tip to tip! and they will charge at you if THEY are in the mood!
The moose pictures above is only a calf!!:)

Yep, looks like about what happens when you hit a camel in the desert
you knock it's legs from under it and it comes in the windshield at you. Best to view your real estate in the daytime in those places if at all possible.

if a moose is in the road stop and wait for it to make up it's mind
don't use your air horn or horn
as they look at it as a challage and they will charge you
i was once in new hampshire and was stop by a trooper as i had
va lic plates on my truck and in a ud cab over at the time

and all i was stop for was to say moose are out and don't use you horn if you see one
in a cab over isn't way i want to meet a moose and kiss it
they have bad beath
