Most unique gift you ever received?

Some 30 years or so ago my wife asked me what I'd like for my birthday. What I'd like, of course, was not what she could afford, like a new Corvette, so I would try to think of something I wanted, but would always say I had everything, and I really did. I had enough shirts, socks, man toys, shaving lotions, etc.
One year she got me a gift I always did want. I had forgotten that I had told her about it, in some forgotten conversation. I'd seen it in a movie, and always wanted one, but had never seen one, nor did I know if there really was one to be had. She surprised me one birthday with it. A solid gold toothpick with a small diamond in the end, in it's own little leather case. I still have it, and I still use it and carry it with me, and over the years many people have commented on it, and it has sparked many a conversation. I have never seen anyone else with one, and never saw another one for sale. These days, I take it out with a flourish of hand, and it still gets surprised comments from dinner guests I come in contact with. A really unique and fun thing to have.

That's neat. Mind posting a pic or telling us the movie it was in? It's definately an improvement on those splintery ones!

Jansie....I don't remember what movie it was in, but it was a long time ago. Posting a picture of it...I'll have to work on that! May be above my computer skill level.

Louixo: if you can take a photo with a cellphone, you can get it on here. Send the photo to your own email, [type it in as a phone number, send like a text], save it to your photos [or 'desktop', if it's easier to find there], then follow directions when you enter 'reply' for attaching to the post. Even a technotard like me can do it, lol. :)
