I am with Leo on this issue....gun them down....like the swine they are....it would only take shooting a few to slow down the invasion, the word would spread...quickly!
My FAST card is bulletproof.
Just don't leave it in the sunvisor for too long...mine went hard and brittle and snap like glass...
Sorry guys, I have to respectfully disagree.
I don't claim to have the answer, but doing a "gun them down" routine, would lower us down to the level of what third world dictators resort to.
We are better than that. IMHO.

We've already started down that path with who we have up there in Washington right now.
If you don't think we're already not being thought of as a "3rd" world country by the 2 SuperPowers (China/Russia) that are quickly surpassing us in the Global respect department, then there needs to be a serious reality check from within.
Who cares what the Ruskies and Chi-Coms think of us.

It would lower us to that level, absolutely, but I agree with Leo that it would work. (As I'm now a moderator, it goes with the territory). It wouldn't work as a long term solution, but it would certainly get the borders under control and secured until a decent immigration policy could be worked out. Just like the Berlin Wall, if we started shooting those who were crossing illegally, it wouldn't stop it entirely, but it would absolutely, turn an uncontrolled invasionary flow into a drip.
It's also low risk - high reward.
I'm not advocating we do that, of course. We as a Christian nation would not kill anyone (other than Muslims, of course) with such cold, calculating callousness.

I'm not sure but, I thought the issue was the top 10 dangerous cities, not border protection.
And yes, I know I brought up Arizona, only because I was surprised with all the press they get on how bad the violence is there, they weren't in the top 10.

Referring to crime, the risk as in the potential punishment must exceed the potential reward as in the loot. Children behave in part due to fear of the consequences for misbehaving. With children it could be just fear of a scolding. With criminals it must be punishment too harsh to risk the crime.
My point was these crime ridden cities need penalties harsh enough to keep most everyone from committing crimes. I also didn't suggest just randomly shooting anyone. I suggested capital punishment for repeat felony convictions by citizens as well as first time felony convictions for illegal aliens as a deterrent.
