More warrantless searches coming if ACTA passes

These clowns aren't going away just because SOPA and PIPA were withdrawn. This has actually been on the drawing board for years. Other countries are resisting the warrantless search provisions, but the good ol' US, "where at least I know I'm free," is still pushing it.

"If you hated #SOPA, you'll burst into flames about #ACTA http://is.gd/Bo68r4 Negotiated in secret. iPod searches at border crossings." Before, those illegal, unethical, and immoral warrantless searches absent articulable, particularized, reasonable suspicion were limited to things related to national security. Now Hollywood and the RIAA want in, want Uncle Sam to violate both you and the law to find out where your copy of "I Kissed A Girl And I Liked It" came from.

You know the problem with bad cops? They make the other 5% look bad.

You know this is part of the problem when former congressional members become the lobbiest for organisations. The front man is the same person who should have been ripped apart by the house for his unethical actions that brought us the bursting of the housing bubble - Chris Dodd.

I say if any of this passes, then the people should turn their backs on Hollywood and the music industry, demand the money back from N.O. for building all those music houses and so on.
