Are most plants closed today? What about auto plants?

Not sure.. I think it maybe some sort of floating holiday for them?? (What ever that means.)
Schools are closed here and wife says banks are closed also here.

Not much auto freight moving today. There's a Nissan load sitting on the board right now, SC to TN, but I haven't seen much else today. There's been a fair amount of non auto freight though.

Now right after I post that a GM load just popped up from MI to TX, so I guess there is some auto freight moving today.

Mostly, this is one of those "gub'mint" holidays. Banks closed, schools closed, government offices closed. No mail delivery. Most everybody else open unless some union-negotiated day off.

For the most part freight levels seem to be a little slower today, but there is stuff moving. I've seen Ford, GM, and Nissan all post stuff this morning, but not nearly the numbers we were seeing on Friday. Then there are the non automotive sources that have a good number of loads today.

A lot of plants and suppliers are closed today. Volumes are WAY down.

Well I'm running a load to Ford in Cleveland area for a morning drop, with the weather turning bad in that area I'm hoping for a drop this afternoon, if so going to burn it back over to Toledo.
