ONE DOWN, 49 TO GO! We're 1/50th freer. Actually, not quite true; we'd be about 80% freer if the feral gummint shut down, and then every state gummint that shut down beyond that makes us 1/50th of the remaining 20% freer.

works for me...personally id love to see the fed gov fail to raise the debt ceiling, shut the fed gov down and watch them continue to pay just what is legal (making liars out of the left that the country would collapse) and dump the rest..including every entitlement program.....

What better way to save 5 Billion dollars...just shut it down and save money....

Sounds like a Rae Day solution.....every civil servant had to take off 5 days in the calender yr...unpaid...

I know you are being flippant but I think living in South Dakota where honesty isn't as rare...maybe you aren't quite as apathetic or jaded as other Americans. I would consider moving slightly west if my wife didn't have a good job and I wasn't further removed from abundant sources of water, especially the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and Quetico Provincial Park.

Big Stone City area isn't so bad?

Politics is politics....seeing I m not a citizen yet...I have no real dog in this fight...as I can not vote...that said it doesn't remove me from the situations/policies they make up that DO effect my life. I know I'd be Po'd if I voted for that Gov and he can not even come up with a mere 5 $billion in the budget.

We here in Detroit want to make sure that someone shut the lights off in Minnesota. We learned that if the lights are forgotten, the electric bill is BIG.
