Just accepted a load from the LA area to a small town in central Utah. Right after I told him to place the bid, I thought, "Oh, crap, I shouldn't have taken that one." Just my luck, we win the bid, after losing out on two good loads that would have taken me back to civilization.
To get another load, I'm likely to have to DH to either SLC or Las Vegas, both about equally far away. Well, LV is slightly farther but not much. But the DH is going to be a little over 200 miles.
I'm not a gambler, so that doesn't matter to me. The weather will be nicer in LV, but getting the next load is more important. The load to Utah will solidify a very good week for me; I just don't want to be stuck and end up giving it all back next week...again. So which is better for the next load?
