Michigan vans

We are a small expediting co. located in northwest lower Michigan and in the last two months our business as tripled. We use only cargo vans no "c","d" or "e" units and we are all O/O. In the past we have been recruting local people to haul for us and teaching them the business. Yesterday I went by our local truck stop and noticed several expedite vans sitting, some had been there for two days. This is the question I have for Van O/O in Michigan. Would you consider working out of Traverse City if you had to come up here on Monday and wait at the truck stop for a load. Once you were dispatched you run out loaded and return empty. You wait nowhere but northern MI. We cover a radius of 1200 miles from Traverse City and at times we can ship two loades on one trip but not often. Plan on being empty one way. Pay is 75% of gross to the truck we buy the first set of signs. This is not a offer at this time just asking to see if there is any interest before I look for local people that have to buy a van to get started.
p.s. We load quite often at 3:00 am

Hey Graybeard! I am from Traverse City, now living in Texas, but family wants to go back to T.C. I am driving a D-Unit now, but want to go to a van. Tired of the big trucks and all the extra paper work. I have driven a van with an O/O leased with Emery Expedite, so I know what it is to be out on the road with one. I am very interested in your expediting venture. I would like to know more. E-mail me at [email protected] when you have time. SevenErb.:)

Hello Graybeard. I'd like to know more about your company. I live in Alpena and have been in expediting with a "B" unit for almost 3 years. Got kind of a rocky start with TST,but I switched to Thompson Emergency in Sept.1999 and have done well since then. I'm happy with them and not really actively looking to change, but it would be interesting to hear what you have to offer. I think a person should always keep their options open.Drop me an e-mail with more details when you have a chance. It's my son's e-mail account, but he will print it out and give it to me. Thanx! Best wishes.

As I posted we are a small co. in Traverse city. All cargo vans and o/o. Just after I posted we signed on two vans so we don't need more right now. we are looking to have O/O at Gaylord and Alpena but not ready to expand at this time. I will keep your email on file and let you know when we make the move.
