Canada Michigan & Canada loads, New Policy ???

Boomer,I've been with this company many many years.There has never been a great amount of freight in the state north of Ohio.As you know there are to many loads comming in,compared to the loads going out.The cheap carriers over shadow the expediters,so staying around waiting 4 days for zilch was nuts.
I can't count the number of times I have dead headed to the Chicago area,with or without pay,the bottom line is, the long loads from Chicago were well worth it.
I probably shouldnt even have said anything, but you really make me mad.
I know Custom Critical is trying to take care of their Canadian customers,and they know that there are many drivers that just don't want to cross the border,for one reason or another,so they are working on gettin the Canadian trucks to do transfers.If you were unlucky enough to be offered one of these transfers,most likely there wasnt a Canadian truck around.
If your not happy with Fed Ex C C then do us all a favor,GET THE @#$% OUT,make some other company proud your there,and stop bashing the best there is.

Can't speak for Charlotte, but I have been both places including Roberts. I think both are very competitive and both have their set of positives.
I still have to admit that Charlotte's observation was pretty funny.

I read this a couple times. I still read this as, you sat for 13 days. I can't believe someone is stupid enough to sit for 13 days without a load. Sooooooooo I must be reading it wrong.
I live in Northern Michigan and I don't get very many loads out of that area. In southern Michigan I get a lot of swaps going into Canada because, a.) drivers is out of hours or, b.) driver is Canada verboten. If I want out of Michigan I become creative. Nuff said on creativity.
I wouldn't change companies or move my home just because of a perceived poor location.
As far as the new company you are with, don't be so full of yourself that you hold the key to the best company there ever was. Read some posts and you'll find there are a lot of drivers happy with the companies they are with for their own personal and business reasons.

It looks as if most of you think I'm "bashing" FedEx C.C....
Well I'm not, but if that's the way you have taken it, I'm sorry. I have been lucky with them, I have gotten good or super loads more times than not. And I got a lot of good loads from the Detroit area.

I started this thing to inform others of what I was told and to see if anyone else has had the same thing happen to them and the same explanation from the company.

I don't start rumors, I have stated what I was told by FedEx. IF it's not true then I was being told something that was untrue.

If you want to say I am "bashing" that owners and drivers are not being informed of policy changes, even if there in a "test" or "pilot" stage. I still say I'm only passing on info and stating my opinion.

And just to set ALL the records stright, I have 8 trucks, 4 with FedEx C.C. and 4 on with 2 other companies and have just purchased a new truch that I'm putting on with a different company.

So, bashing or not, who cares, take what I say or walk away...
