Mechanics creeper

Does anyone carry with them a mechanics creeper? Seems like quite a few people do their own PM work and are regularly under their trucks looking over the situation.
There are many different styles of mechanic creepers...... any comments on which one is best?
For me years ago cardboard on the asphalt was ok, but not anymore.
Thanks for any suggestions.

I carry a creeper in our truck and use it more often than I use many of the other tools I carry. When the weather is nice, I use it when greasing our truck instead of taking it into the shop to have it done. And I use it for "looking over the situation" as you say. But I still carry cardboard sheets too. Sometimes the asphalt is too rough for the small creeper wheels.

Got mine at Sears. Did not put a lot of thought into it except to pick one that puts you lower to the ground than one that leaves you less low.

I need a new one. I'm tired of rolling around on the pavement. Autozone has a real nice one for about $50.

Just like Mr A Team.

Sears has a nice low pro . So you can get under the axle's check out your truck when waiting for a load. Why pay a truck stop to check over and check lube.

I got mine at menards and paid about $25 and it folds and makes a seat. Like everyone says sometimes it doesnt roll well on the parking lot.

I do, I made it myself using 3/4 plywood and wobly wheels, it works great and it has held up way better than any of the store bought china crap ones. Also it has a smaller profile so it fits in my tool box easier.
