Hi Greg

Thanks for the reply, I looked on e-bay and only found 1 expeditor. The Truck Paper has several with most on the midwest or down south both requires extensive traveling. Since this post I've learned I don't need anything newer than 1988-1990, something around $20,000.
I'm sure I don't have to tell you about the economy, but things are slow up here in the northeast, and maybe I'll have to swallow my pride and go work for a company. we will see. Thanks again Ted

If your willing to pay $20,000 for a 88-90 model, lets take this conversation to pms. I think I can help ya out with that..lol ;)

Seriusly, you should be able to do that on less than 10k. Finding a truck that old will be tougher than finding it at a good price.

Ted,

First off I know that someone has mentioned the EO classifides, but from your responces it doesn't sound like you have checked them out. I just took a quick look and there are a few that may meet your needs. Here is a link to the straight truck classifides just on the off chance you couldnt find or didn't know what was being talked about when mentioned earlier. http://www.expeditersonline.com/classifieds/category/209/Straight-Trucks.html

I know you said you wanted more HP than what your '03 7500 offers and after giving it some thought today I wanted to pass those thoughts on, so here they are. HP is a relative term so to speak, for instance my truck has a 450 HP and yet I had a 400HP Vette pass me today. So YES size matters, lol, I bet that Vette can't carry 13k in the trunk. What I mean by that is even upgrading to a class 7/M2 buisiness class with the same HP rating as your '03 may net an improvement in power being that there is more rotational inertia in a physicaly larger engine with the same HP rating as what you have now. Mass being what it is, it is reletively FLAT (there is a reason those of us from north of there call you flatlanders lol). M2/Buisness class trucks are mainly designed as regional trucks and should suit your needs, if you need more torque/low end power you could change out the "chunk" with lower gears. One of the trucks I happened to see was a M2 with a 16' refer box '06 freightliner for 10K the refer would give you climate control heat in the winter and cool in the hotter months while working inside the box.

I have a couple of questions, if you don't feel like answering thats cool....
Just out of curriosity, what kind of mechanic are you?
I know you said mobile but what do you work on?

Best of luck in your search.
