You are correct about ex-spouses......I often refer to that not as an ex but a "Y"......as in WHY did I do that??
And I seem to remember more then a few liberal left leaning news people wishing death on President bush ans even Sarah Palin.....but i guess thats ok when the the libs do it.... since bush Palin aren't considered as "intelligent" or as good a "leader" and neither of them gave Chris Matthews a "leg tingle"....
Too bad the elbow wasn't hard enough to break his neck and leave him eating through a straw for the rest of his life....
I am no medical expert, but i have stayed at a holiday inn express a few times...and i can assure you that a person with a broken neck can have to use a straw or feeding tube in some cases...i am not saying it would be a life long thing at all, and i am not saying it is true in every case, but i have a very close friend who had his broken when the tri axle dump truck he was driving was rear ended by anothe dump truck while he was sitting still and his head hit the back of the cab wall hard enough to knock him out and break his neck. (C-4 or C-5 if i remember right, but that i am not sure of)
As for your opinion that no rational adult would go to the extent of wishing harm on anyone, including barry and that it is taking political disagreement over the line...you are certainly entitled to that opinion and you will certainly get alot of agreement...but you will also get alot of disagreement when it comes to barry...try taking a poll at a gun club or miita meeting sometime..as a mtter of fact, barrys busted lip was the topic of conversation at a football party i was at today, more people took the point that it was too bad that the injury wasn't worse and more then a few stated they would not lose a moments sleep if the injury would have been life threatening....the man has fewer and fewer fans...
As for "wishin" harm to him, i didn't say I wished him harm...but it does happen as evident by this injury..I just stated it was too bad he didn't break his neck ...so if it had been worse, i too wouldn't lose any sleep....now that being said, i wouldn't wish death on him.....

did everybody @ your football party wear white hoods like you????

Nope and mine was mazie and blue, just like it will be for the big chill in 2 weeks....
like i said I am not a medical expert so even if you were a nurses aid instead of a trama nurse, you would thrump my knowledge, but i can tell you he ate through a straw and all foor was run through a blender or was purchased pureed food...yes there might have been other reasons, i'll admit that since we simply referred to him having a broken neck and really didn't go into anymore detail.....so yea there very well ight have been other injuries...
Sometimes we make assumptions that are 100% wrong, and if they aren't corrected, we never know how wrong we were/are. I say 'we', because no one is right about everything, including me. In this case though, I am positive that a spinal cord injury didn't cause the need for a liquid diet - perhaps a traumatic brain injury?
Either way, the fact that you were wrong might give you pause to think about what else you may be wrong about - but who am I kidding, it won't.
As for you "condoning" the actions of the left or anyone else, no one said that "you" did condone it....but those on the left wishing death on more then a few on the right certainly was and still is a wide held opinion.... right or wrong, its just the way it is....
Quite true - as the vast majority of the population is relatively sane and are not psychopathic ..... and are therefore not inclined to actively wish or intend harm to their fellow man ....As for your opinion that no rational adult would go to the extent of wishing harm on anyone, including barry and that it is taking political disagreement over the line ... you are certainly entitled to that opinion and you will certainly get alot of agreement ...
Spend alot of time polling at those types of places do we ?but you will also get alot of disagreement when it comes to barry ... try taking a poll at a gun club or militia meeting sometime ...
Well, it is certainly true ....... that one is known by the company that they keep ......as a mtter of fact, barrys busted lip was the topic of conversation at a football party i was at today, more people took the point that it was too bad that the injury wasn't worse and more then a few stated they would not lose a moments sleep if the injury would have been life threatening ....
Congrats .... this might possibly be one of the most retarded attempts at backtracking double-speak and talking out of both sides of one's mouth that I have read recently ....As for "wishin" harm to him, i didn't say I wished him harm ..... I just stated it was too bad he didn't break his neck ...
For some, there is very little that causes them to lose sleep ...but it does happen as evident by this injury so if it had been worse, i too wouldn't lose any sleep ....
..... at least not publicly eh ?now that being said, i wouldn't wish death on him .....
So ..... apparently your point is that there are psychopaths on both the Right and the Left ?And I seem to remember more then a few liberal left leaning news people wishing death on President bush ans even Sarah Palin .....
No, actually it's not - it's not really ok when anyone does it ....but i guess thats ok when the the libs do it ....
I do believe people can dislike Obama and not be a racist. The white hood remark was a bit much! I did not vote for Obama, but it had nothing to do with the color of his skin.
quite true - as the vast majority of the population is relatively sane and are not psychopathic ..... and are therefore not inclined to actively wish or intend harm to their fellow man ....
there is a relatively small minority which are not like the above, and out of them there is an even smaller number (just a few percent) which are truly dangerous to others.
One could say that they could be known by both their actions and intentions ....
Spend alot of time polling at those types of places do we ?
Well, it is certainly true ....... that one is known by the company that they keep ......
Congrats .... This might possibly be one of the most retarded attempts at backtracking double-speak and talking out of both sides of one's mouth that i have read recently ....
What you said - if you parse through all the bs - was that it unfortunate that he had not suffered more harm than what he actually did ..... This is functionally the same as wishing or intending harm to another .....
Thanks for your candor - it certainly provides some insight into the mental machinery for the home viewing audience .....
For some, there is very little that causes them to lose sleep ...
..... At least not publicly eh ?
So ..... apparently your point is that there are psychopaths on both the right and the left ?
tell me ...... Is this a relatively recent revelation for you ?
No, actually it's not - it's not really ok when anyone does it ....
One can only imagine how much it was impinging for you ..... and how much it took for you to restrain yourself ...I was thinking it but was trying not to go there .....
Well, unfortunately (for you), as a point, it is a bit of a strawman argument or comparison if you will - in that, in that the individuals to which you refer were not part of our immediate community, nor were they making such comments here on EO ....but since you opened this part of the discussion up, I don't recall any outrage here when the "wishing" involved conservatives..... So yes, the double standard lives to see another day....
a bit much....im not the one callimg the man ( as chef loves to use those quotes on everything) "barry" ......what do you think that means :"hmmmmmmmm"
Yuppers .....It's one thing to find fault with the man's words, actions, philosophy, history, personality, [and I think you've found fault with them all], but it's another thing to make a comment like that - and that thing is called sociopathic.
Interesting thing about the anti-social amongst us ..... they are often very well aware that being just a little bit too vocal with their thoughts and intentions causes the red lights, bells, and whistles to go off in their fellow man .....you probably meant his jaw, but were in a really big hurry to spit the venom out, huh?
