Easy to miss, as most happen behind the scenes rather quietly, not that bannings happen very often.So I missed another banning?
At OVM notes, it's the same as with any member, if you insult them and/or treat them disrespectfully, you're gonna get a warning. Do it repeatedly and you're gonna get banned.I thumbed thru the TOS and still wonder why expedite motor carrier executives can get you banned? So if I make a comment to, Mr I own a brokerage firm, and if he don't like it that's cause for getting banned?
Theoretically, and mostly in practice, that's true, but we do not enforce the rules and met out punishment with no thought, intelligence or common sense behind it in a hard and fast, black and white manner (Panther comes to mind <snort>). If we did that, the bannee in question would have been banned at the first instance of his CoC violation, rather than having been given 4 or 5 second chances. He was a relatively long-time member here, and is an actual, current expediter, so someone like that gets a bit more latitude than a new member who isn't even an expediter who comes in and does the same exact things. Established members, Staff members, motor carrier executives, actual expediters, they are all regarded a little more highly than is others. Critics will charge the rules aren't enforced evenly. Well, welcome to life.what Turtle should have said....is openly disrespecting another "member" because being an executive should have no influence on what punishment is handed out....we are ALL equal here and our opinions are equally welcomed...
The conversations leading up to and the details of any Moderation will not be discussed in the forum, at the discretion of the .Moderators, of course. In some cases it's important for members to know why a disciplinary action was taken, if for no other reason than they will know what not to do. But no, details and any rehashing of Moderator actions will not be discussed in open forums. It is nothing but a disruption and distraction in the forums and serves no purpose other than to undermine the authority of those moderating the forums.and the oddball thing about the TOS....is the executive protection clause for EO....a decision of action can not be discussed in open forum....talk about a muzzle....

Nope.Ever try to pickup a 40 pound box at the FedEx Supply Chain facility in Memphis using a pickup number that has no meaning, and without having a shipment number, or an order number, and the person at the customer who set this up through the 3pl that called you for the shipment is gone for the day? And you're still sitting here waiting after 3 hours because the 3pl is adamant that the meaningless pickup number is really and truly meaningful and is all you need?
