So where are you xiggi? I'm fresh out of cheese so hopefully the wine won't be necessary! :)

St Louis area, I tend not to whine but I think human nature makes it a first instinct in us.

You sit somewhere and see trucks.from other companies come and go and you think, why are they getting loads and not.me. That is when you have to step back and look at facts, they could.have customers in the area, they could.have just stopped for a nap, might be.running cheap. There is so many.things to consider. You have to remember dispatch is looking and.John is making sure they do. Sometimes it is easy to shoot off a post or something before considering the facts.

Hopefully soon Xiggi. You are currently the longest sitter. Good load volume going right now so I am hopeful they will have you out of there soon.

Just a word if thanks John to you and your fine group that you have put together. As I looked at my statement and then remember what a slow week it was, I was once again reminded why I am so glad that I moved to Load 1

Thanks again for all the great things that you do for us

Thanks, but I am just one cog in a machine. As long as we stay focused on average revenue per unit in our growth, we will never risk becoming like many who's critical number is total number of units.

We have added some great talent and we have some more to come. I am very confident that this will be a good year for our fleet.

BTW, sitting at the airport getting ready to board another plane!

I'm pretty far from the yard, [the signs for 35 show Fargo is south, lol] but I'm happy. Twas a nice [non automotive] load, and the weather is what spring is sposed to be: in the 70's.
Truck AC isn't working, & I want to put off the repair for a couple weeks, and still be able to sleep.
I love hearing the ND & Mn accent - all the different regional accents are interesting, I think. Every time I am up here, I want to watch the movie 'Fargo' again, lol. I will probly DH to Minneapolis this evening, see if I can catch Moot for lunch tomorrow - he's more fun than the Mall of America, [I bet they don't have bumperstickers for Sven & Ole's Pizza!] you betcha.
;)

PS @Ziggy: sometimes the trucks leaving don't have a load, they're just going to WalMart!

Thats the type of thing I was attempting to point out. The possibilities are endless and we need to remember that when discouragment raises its ugly head.

I know, Ziggi.I am right there with you in the thinking. And I agree.I am sooo guilty of this as well.I need to re-evaluate my way of thinking.

Basically, not all of the time, I think the low freight rate haulers need to flush out before we get our load.I have a couple of friends that are running .85 cpm loaded mile freight, and staying busy, but, in comparison,I made 25k more last year than the person running his wheels off at the cheap rate.Or there is another friend who ran 139,000 miles, total, last year, and did 81 grand. He has since left that company, and is patiently waiting for us to start hiring again. So, all in all, or sitting isn't really that bad, considering our numbers.I really hope he has a chance to get on here.An awesome asset to us, he would be.But, I understand why John is putting a hold on hiring as well.Better to be cautious than to keep putting them on when not needed, like so many other carriers.
