I thought I told you that I bought this 7500 btu portable AC unit at a garage sale in Fargo .....
My strofoam Homeade AC is at home in Mancave ....I will take pictures for you next time home ....for about $ 17. investment that Redneck AC worked pretty good..... But believe Me this portable is now part of my seasonal equipment
Where did you buy the 7500 at
That exhaust line has a lot of heat around
Good job!
You sure did get lucky finding that! Meant to be huh? Great!I got it at a Garage /Estate sale in Fargo a couple weeks ago ... just Dumb luck ..stumbling on to it ....older couple sold house and retiring moving south ( lol) to SD ...no kidding thats what the Husband told out in his shop where I tested it to make sure working ...oh and its 7000 btu...and here is a picture of AC info ....View attachment 11054 also another pic of window Vent with shade removed.... also exhaust tube does get warm but not overly Hot ...the air opening going out window is like 3" x 4" so does not restrict air flow too much... also note the tube is flexible and short as possible ...I have some soft flexible wrap at home I will use to wrap around exhaust tube to assit in reducing heat thrown off...
I hear Ya....ya, I HAD to get the Companion Honda 2000...needed MORE than 3500 Watts for when it cycled, so it won't bottom out...for the 13,000 BTU.most of those units are 10,000 to 12,000 BTU and the gen really struggles to handle the surge...as a matter of fact it looks like the older Gens get the less they can handle the surge must be something with the inverter...but my Honda wouldn't power the 10k I had anymore....as in the initial surge where it did the year before no problem...
My ryobi 2200 does just fine handling the surge with my 13500 btu AC.I hear Ya....ya, I HAD to get the Companion Honda 2000...needed MORE than 3500 Watts for when it cycled, so it won't bottom out...for the 13,000 BTU.
you also have one of them capacitors to handle that?My ryobi 2200 does just fine handling the surge with my 13500 btu AC.
