It's been a pretty nice week for me too. I have done "if this load doesn't cancel today" 4000 miles since last thursday night. That's about 4000 miles in 10 days. I guess I have been in all the right places at all the right times and I have been looking at the computer screen at the right times as well. I hope you all are keepin dem wheels turnin. Happy Memorial day to all of you. It's a great weekend to be an American!

With AC and a generator?
No. No AC, no generator.

I did move up to San Antonio. 10-12 degrees cooler across the board, plus there's a nice row of shade trees along the southern side of the parking lot, so I'm parked in the shade all day long. Its the difference between merely uncomfortable, and just brutal.

We lost the driver we had in our 16 footer and I took it out for a bit to keep it making money. Sitting in Portsmouth, NH looking for the first thing back to the house. This truck has a 96" sleeper and an APU, so it's a bit more comfy than my Sprinter, but I don't really care for this log book deal.

My 1100 mile load from Ithaca NY to Montgomery AL didn't cancel on me, so it's been a pretty good 10 days out here. I'm gonna drive on down to Lyons GA and see a friend while waiting for a railroad load to come back up out of Waycross like it did last time I was down there.

Hey, Chef, i'm from Orange County, there are some decent fireman and rescue service people from California man! I hope you get to help out some, but I consider it to be a good thing that there is more help than needed. It just goes to show whata great country we live in; when people spend their three day weekend in the service of their fellow citizen.

So I thought by going out of service this weekend I wouldn't be driving. Yeah right. Had to run to Tennesee with mom to get my 78' Olds since I sold it to a friend and drive it back to Ohio yesterday, and drive it up to Cleveland today. Sitting south of Cincinnatti in that 5 mile back up on 75 wasn't fun without any A/C. So anyway, I get to celebrate my birthday being tired and not tipsy. Guess I can save that for tomorrow. LOL supposed to be 92 in Salem, OH tomorrow.

The best think for you Jack is to rest and keep the weight off the foot. God Bless Gracie for helping out like she has. Hopefully when things do pick up you'll be 100% ready to hit the road.
