The "bridge" has NOTHING to do with cancer or it's cures. It has NOTHING to do with the GOVERNMENT using FORCE, even DEADLY FORCE, to take what I earn and GIVE it to someone who did NOT earn it. YEP, taking money from MY WIFE is a GOOD thing in your book, as long as the government does it. RIGHT?

so the drug dealers should be left alone because they are selling drugs to make a profit . what about the ones that break into houses while the people are at work and they rob the hiuse clean and take the stuff to a pawn shop and sell it . is that type of profit ok also .

what about dumping checmials in to the local water supply . business can make more profit that instead of dumping the chemcials a safe way . and your part about "tanker" endorsement . since you like to tell everybody else what /how to do . i read they are hiring for somebody to taste test at a sewer plant . can i put your name in for it . what about a Boxer . what about a artist . since i can color in the lines everybody else should be able to also . because i am 20 years old and can do 200 push ups a day anybody can be a boxer also .

I am not defending the actions of the State, the Feds or the owner of the bridge. I can remember the slow downs all my life, NOT just after 9/11. IF I remember correctly that bridge was completed in 1929. Traffic then cannot even compare to what we had in 1970 and then add the level of traffic today, what do people expect? The roads on both sides are not designed to handle the traffic either. It is obsolete as it stands today.

Well that does not matter, it is still a four lane bridge, the bridge itself isn't the issue, the problem is the customs part of it and that's where the problems have always been. Even when my uncle worked the booths, he said they were only to allow so many through and then spot checked four or five at a time - this was in 1965.

Not true at all. The afternoon backups on I75 all occur at the bottleneck of trying to exit and get through the service rd to the toll booths going into Canada.

That is also an issue that has nothing to do with the bridge but the way tolls are collected, maybe using EZ-Pass would be a good thing while another would be to use technology in other ways to collect tolls. The point is that even though there is a bottleneck there, the bridge itself is not the show stopper.

Sorry I tried to suggest the tanker endorsement. I know that they are looking for many with that endorsement in the area that you live in. They are also begging for pipe fitters and welders. The point is that there is plenty of work out there for those people that choose to upgrade their skills to take advantage of it. Those who do not are going to be left behind. When it all boils down to it, each individual is responsible for themselves.

i agree and always have . a person needs to get off their butts and work hard to get ahead . but when all the doors are locked for them .then what

but the companies are not looking for people to upgrade their skills .
what does need 1 to 5 years Experience mean . does it mean that they will train you in 1 to 5 years ??

it is like driveing a 10 speed all of your life . the new company only has 18 speeds they only want somebody that can drive a 18 speed . as you know it would not take long to learn .

or i have been welding steel all my life . but the company is only looking for a aluminum welder .

or i have done strom sewer put the company is looking for labor with sewer Experience .

yep somebody that would be a good doctor . he should be forced to do something he not good at . and what about the drug user he should be made to drive truck to .

no wonder the USA has gone backwards . we put people in jobs they are able to handle .

Well, Obama is a bum who is determined to destroy the Constitution.

Eliminate 100% of all programs NOT mandated by the Constitution. That includes welfare. Either stick to the Constitution or throw it out. It seems most people these days would rather throw it out. NO ONE is ENTITLED to others wages.
What do those duds from OWS have to do with reality or this conversation?

I've seen them clear that bridge in half an hour when they call all hands on deck...stamp, stamp,you are clear....no 20 question silliness....

BUT I've also seen trucks CLEARED sitting at a booth because Matty only has 3 or 4 toll booths open and everyone has to funnel in... There is not enough room between the customs booth and the toll collectors on the Detroit side....
