After 3 days of MATS I came to the conclusion this year would not include a visit with Moose. :(

Also Lawrence sorry I didn't get to talk with you much when you stopped bye our booth. We were pretty busy with interested prospects who don't want to run more for less :)

So far, most are running less for less. E-1 is clearly focusing more and more on tractor trailers and somewhat on straight trucks.

I think that was predicted when the new owner took over....he has shown no real interest in the expedite side

Do you think it is a lack of interest or a lack of knowledge? I think he thought he was buying a trucking company and doesn't understand the value in smaller vehicles.

This was my first MATS and I seen Jenn, Nick, Bob, Linda, Lawrence, Sean, and John Elliott. I seen some old friends from FedEx Custom Critical and those ladies still looked the same. Talked with the guys at TST from when we had a truck on with them in the late 90's. Met some great people and had a great time.

We got their came all the way outa Houston Tx. Got there for 2.5 hours then had to leave for a load then came back and was late for the breakfeast but, The Commander came through got my shirts and whole bunch of things from him and after everyone else ditched and ran home he stayed and represented. Way to go Commander (Terry) BZ and a Double Salute to ya!!
Other than getten called out one meeting for a run then we came back and were late for the Breakfeast it wasnt a total loss. Commander (Terry) came through with flying colors. A few other things caught my eye OOIDA Band and the Joey Holliday truck and the music in that Parking lot. Sat was nice this morning and was warm enough to see a few of the trucks outside. This one caught my eye very nice Peterbilt. Wild Child! Thats all and Commander (Terry) BZ Thanks for Representing!!! Double Salute.
Thats a Rap
Double Tap.

It looks like all he wants is freight forwarder/brokerage....expedite is none of this....he wanted E1 and the expedite just happened to come with it.....

Just take a look at how expedite side has been devalued...loss of root customers and experienced staff...I really do think he'll sell off the expedite side eventually....that is just my opinion.....

Now back to MATS...

Hope everyone had a great time....:)

Were you able to make it back for breakfast?

NO we didnt make it to Breakfeast as we were DH back up from a load we had to do. We did eat breakfeast at the Petro before we got back to the SHow By that time everyone Left, about 1245 to the parking lot and 1pm to the outside trucks pride and polish. Commander Terry was the only one still there. that's about it. Dont matter. Nope would have realy like to sit through both days of it but I got well informed by a Team that did make it what was said the second day. Unlike many we stayed in service and answered the calls and did the biddings.

Just wasnt sure if we had met you, and wasnt aware of it.

The day before the Breakfeast there were very few that drove tractor trailer, a couple of man and wife teams were there. The second day there were many more there 3 man and wife teams that I know of. But we missed it.
As I said we did the biddings for the company. To bad I would have realy liked to sit in on the meetings of both days. A couple of man and wife Teams that were there the second day told me alot of what went on and what was discussed. No matter. I usualy dont hang out in crowds as its not me. Well I got to go work out now I got a promise to keep with the man up stairs.
(GOD). Peace. Physicaly fittness.
Have a safe one.
