Yep, Expo is FAR better for expediters than MATS is.
There will be plenty of Expediters at MATS and many of us park at Papa Johns in a large group and the more the merrier. There is a grill going every evening with lots of lawn chairs in attendance.
Both shows are really great for different reasons.
MATS is all about products and there are a lot of products. We like to go to MATS to research new products and to keep up with where the industry is going. In three days we have never seen all of MATS and all of the vendors we wanted to see. What is nice is that the group parked at Papa Johns discuss what they have seen during the day while sitting around BBQ grills in the evenig. These discussions often give us ideas on what we want to look at the next day.
The Expo to me is more about learning Expediting and ways to improve our business. The Expo is all about expediters which is what we need to learn more about. We talk with other drivers, the vendors, and attend the workshops and have never left the Expo without learning something to make our life on the road easier.
We have made some awesome friends at both events and would encourage you to attend both if possible. If you have to choose then go for the EXPO!

Thank you for your replies, I am a want-a-be, and would like to talk to someone who has been there and done that
Don't take it unkindly, but I hope to retire the end of the year and do some traveling, can't think of a better way, a few extra bucks in the pocket wouldn't hurt.
