Deadheading this afternoon to N. Jersey for a Sunday pick up of lighting and video equipment going to Miami Fl then get paid very well to sit 5 days and return to jersey. great mileage, good deadhead pay and great layover pay going to a warm area, Might have yo rent another Harley for another Key West run. Margaritaville here I come the Conch Republic.
WTG..the roll of the dice worked this time....and won with my roll as well....unloaded 48 hours early....

Truck not starting this morning, just clicks when I turn the key..... sounds like a solenoid, but it and starter are only about 6 months old. Apu is running and am showing a good battery charge. The clicking is coming from left dash area and on the firewall there is a round object that reminds me of a solenoid on a ford truck that is where the clicking is coming from , I believe. Guess I will have to wait on TA service truck. Great way to start the week, and only about an hour from my drop.

Hope all that excess capacity was soaked up today. Just couldn't land one to save my life, it seemed. Even threatened to cross the 3-digit line. But didn't. Finally got one but took until 19:00 to get it. Headed to GA.

LOL!! Thanks!! No more pickup lines for me. I will say that Sally too full advantage of our extra day together. Alone. At home.
So today I learned a new Irish expression: "We're sucking diesel now!" [much like we used to say "Now you're cooking with gas!"] but whoever coined the expression must have sucked it for real, lol, cause it would not be a pleasant experience, IMO. [But then, I've never tried it, I admit.]
And I'm in Laredo - will be inneresting to see for how long, as I haven't been here in ages. Believe it or not, I love coming here: no mountains, tolls, or weigh stations at state lines every time you turn around. Oh - and Rudy's Barbeque!!!
