I will put it this way. For.some reason I chose to drive. Flying construction barrels, tree branches, toppled trailers, and so much other stuff. Woke Nick up at 8 am with the.sun shining and a slight breeze.

There was a couple times that I wouldnt have been surpised to see a deer flying across the road...lol....sounds like you did good work Jen.

Let me start by saying that I am VERY happy to be at LoadOne, BUT... I have a major complaint. Why is it that all the freight we do is automotive? Well 99% of it. I know there are some things in the works but there is also TONS of freight out there other than auto. I live in NC and I have had to deadhead home 4 times in a row, the last time was 700 miles from MI. Historicly the Carolinas are Awesome for freight, in and out, but not for LoadOne. I am back in MI now, but it took 4 days for me to get a load, and the load of course was an auto load. As a driver it is nerve-racking when your sitting for days and you know there is freight moving other than auto. My last company was a Non-Automotive company and we had lots and lots of work. I didn't leave my last company of over 4 years and come to LoadOne for lack of freight. This is my home. I love this company and they will have to drag me away kicking and screaming if they want me to leave, but I just wish they would venture out further than automotive, we all are loosing money by not hauling any and all freight.
The last four loads I hauled were 50-50. I would say that it's not unusual that there are a lot of automotive loads to the car manufacturing capital
They won't go cheap like other companies just to get loads. Right now it's still a shippers market. I have told dispatch in the past to accept a lower rate if I needed to get somewhere.

But I do notice we haul mostly automotive. Doesn't bother me one bit. Pays good and keeps me rolling. With panther for me was about 80 percent automotive and the rest general freight. I don't know why we do mostly automotive but I trust load one and I feel confident they are doing the right thing.
As far as getting home. Sometimes you may have a short sometimes long deadhead. Sometimes you get home often sometimes not. Just according where the freight takes you and a little luck

Why auto mostly?......This division is ONLY 6 yrs old....hasn't been around that long....John has built a truckload company on automotive, it is his bread and butter....and everything is going to spin off that....
Johns sales go to customers...what can he offer them?....sure not price....we don't work cheap....all he can offer them is BRAND NAME....with a GREAT reputation for service and commitment to a customers needs...
John is in a learning curve as much as we are.....the auto ratio will drop in the future I am sure of that....but it takes time....might not even see it my lifetime.....
